To this day, over decades now, this song took me to dimensions. This track still makes me feel the way I did when I was in my late 20's and carries me to now. We had Street Fairie and then this didn't land on an album, I'm still mad. This song is one of those that made anyone feeling lost feel found. Cree is everything. The music we got was a gift.

@@leif1075 This was a song she wrote without an album to follow it which is the biggest shame because any song she wrote was a gift. Check out Street Fairie and don't lose hope. You still have time to do something amazing. If this song proves anything, it's that we can carry on.

@@nekomann Thanks for answering. It's not the time so much as I don't feel like I am as genius as other ppl.sometimes and thst infuriates and depresses me and more than so.msny of my family have died that life is too lonely and sad and I need a vacation but have no money to go anywhere.

@@nomibe2911 Zoe is in the video multiple times but she was 18 or 19 years old when it was shot, not the young girl. Lisa Bonet doesn’t appear in the video, that is Zoe. She is as beautiful as her mom and looks just like her, though! :)

So, it's perfectly fine she said "Your Mama can't save you" and "Those friends that said they'll be there, well, that's in the past" and the reason "The Lord can't save you" is because if you're offended by that line, then you treat prayer like buying a lotto ticket or ordering from store catalogue than you truly let the lord act thru you if that's what you believe. "The Lord" is not a physical manifestation, so only YOU can take the initiative to act, only you can decide what it is your physically, mentally, SPIRITUALLY need. So, yes, you have to become your own savior, you can attribute it to the lord, buddha, krishna, love, karma, whatever phrase, concept, you desire working through you but you have to be your own advocate. That's all the song is about it's not about jeebuz. It's not crucifying your religion. And if you're all going to launch a holy crusade because your comprehension skills are so lacking, that IS FAR MORE disturbing. NOBODY should be using their religion as a sword to bludgeon others with.
