Great review!! I have a bottle of Absolu on the way and am looking forward to it. But I'm not expecting it to resemble the OG. I have multiple bottles dating back to 2012 , and I'm actually glad the Absolu takes a path of its own.

Great review, I agree with you, I tried this Absolu yesterday (I got a sample) and I just pass with this one, I have the OG aventus and definitely is still the best and will be the best, also the price of the absolu aventus is a joke, creed is going crazy with prices here in the US, in Europe their products are cheaper.

It really smells like Dior Sauvage Elixir. Dior even last longer.

I also like the original Aventus better, especially the base note in the original Aventus is the special thing and I miss this in the new absolue. This is completely different and sounds like the Sauvage elixiir in terms of notes, only without the licorice and the metal cap in the new absolue It's cool but unfortunately creed isn't what it used to be...

Well I like to think that most of the time something is overrated, is because IT WAS GOOD TO BEGIN with, everybody at one point wanted or bought Aventus !
