Original Santal is the most underrated from the house, IMO. It’s much more versatile than most people think. Both of these are bangers, though.

Agreed. For a long time I never tried it because I blindly followed the advice from many reviewers that it was virtually indistinguishable from Individuel. When I finally tried it I was shocked. Original Santal is sooo much noticeably higher quality than Individuel it’s a joke. And it’s perfumed by the same guy so it’s hardly a copycat. Individuel is certainly easier on the wallet, but OS smells much, much better.

I’ve had both of these sprayed on either hand so I could compare them and while I liked the smell of Santal better, I felt that it wasn’t really versatile like Aventus cologne so I decided to buy Aventus Cologne. Dont you kinda feel like Santal is a date night fragrance? It’s really sweet and cherry like, I can’t really see wearing it to the gym or to work or anything. Maybe it’s just me.

Best review of original santal i’ve seen, it’s a BANGER. Hope people keep sleeping on it. Very unique. Winter time put it on with a wool sweater, the thing works wonders.

First time I wore original santal was in the mall & some girls was going crazy trying to find out where the smell was coming from …I was literally running because they were following the sent trail

I know this is an older video but for those just discovering the House of Creed, I agree with Ross regarding these two fragrances. They are two of my favorites from the house! Original Santal being my superior gentleman fragrance and Aventus Cologne being my daily grab and go for every occasion. You can’t go wrong with either, in my opinion! ☺️🤙🏽

I got a 2021 bottle of aventus cologne I bought in 2023. I get around 9 hrs out of it and yes I like it better than my aventus.

I am glad you showed your lot number because I purchased a couple creed fragrances and when I looked up the lot number, it did not exist. I thought I got fakes.

Great review Ross.. i love aventus cologne the orange, ginger and vetiver just pops off my skin but unfortunately i only get about 4 hours.. might try santal again my first impression was it didnt fit the Creed profile like Himalaya and M Imperial does

I love Aventus cologne! If you don’t want to spend the money yet, ADG Profondo will give you that type of feel.

Aventus Cologne is so good. Longevity FOR ME is insane. About 8-10 hours believe it or not. I love this frag so much.

The issue I've always had with Individuel was the raspberry-ish sweetness mixing with the dryer sheets cleanliness that caused that starting harshness. It was kind of like a sweet-sour-clean scent that took a bit of getting used to. I had been hoping to try Original Santal to see if it curbs that harshness, so I might try it now.

I actually prefer aventus cologne over the original. It was a love at first sniff. I enjoy the original DNA but this suits me way more. And I’m not the only one apparently because I was wearing a decant and a woman CHASED ME DOWN at Target to ask me what I was wearing and said she was going to buy it immediately (yes I even told her the price). My wallet hates me for it but I’m buying a 100ml bottle of this one.

I got my nose on Original Santal about a month ago and was just blown away. I have it on my list and will be getting it shortly. Aventus Cologne I actually like a lot, tried a sample of it and it was good not as amplified but still good. I wonder would it get an extra kick layering it with Eccentric Molecule 01 ISO E Super?
