Chaos Fragrances You got same batch too ?! Nice!! Everyone is hunting for that batch! Its funny because when I wear 17q01. NO ONE Compliments me. I'm guessing because it's more a dark batch? I smell more Apple and bergamot. The dry down more like Musky smell on me, yet one of my girlfriend told me is a good scent, but not as good as 16m01.

I noticed that break in period alot. I had first got a sample of this and was blown away, so i bought a full bottle and was very unsatisfied, i actually thought i got ripped off. A few months later and my bottle now smells better than the origional sample. Great stuff

Great review on a great fragrance. And you are right, to get the real original Aventus you have to find some from 2013 or earlier (2010 - 2013) with all the currently "banned" ingredients like Oakmoss, Birch tar, and whatever else they used. The main difference is that vintage Aventus had a smokey barbecued pineapple kind of scent, and lasted even longer. The newer batches do still smell great though.

Thanks man! And it’s a bummer how far back you have to go to get a smokey Aventus. I haven’t actually smelled any of the vintage batches but I know they have to be amazing. They go for a pretty penny now unfortunately, and I’ve read where a few of the 2010 batches were starting to go bad

CDNIM has gotten me crazy amount of compliments. I still haven't received a single unsolicited complement from Creed Aventus (batch 17t01, 16a01, 17x01) The hype train is real. But it does smell nice.

Chaos Fragrances it could be but I did also spray it on my clothes. I've decanted my 17x01 and left it in my car. Apparently after few months the heat should mancerate the fragrance. Let's see what happens.

Yeah I've found it projects best off skin, letting it age should help it a lot. My retail 17N has started to smooth out quite a bit over the past 5 months or so. I should decant a bit more out of the bottle to speed the process

A lot of the 16 batches are really solid from what I’ve seen. I definitely don’t wear this to work all the time because I can’t afford that either haha, but I include it in my rotation every now and then

A tip... Club de Nuit Intense Men has exactly the same fragrance profile, from application to drydown. In fact, it lasts on the skin longer, and its about 1/3 the price. It appears to be cleverly reverse engineered. Test it for yourselves.

Stanley, I have a lot of experience with CDNIM. It’s an alternative, but still doesn’t come close to the real thing. No where as smooth and natural as Aventus. I actually still get better performance from Aventus, at about 10 hours and up. CDNIM gets me 7-8. I still think it’s wise to put your money towards a decant at best. I’ll do a Face-Off on these two soon

I think it would be a very interesting video to arrange, in a scientific manner, a blind comparison of the two, where you have a bunch of ppl who can report their experience with "A" and "B" over a period of 10 hours. I have done the experiment twice on myself, but havent found a volunteer to test. I know that a lot of artificial stuff is used in very expensive perfumes, they hire a chemistry staff. To what extent Creed is made with natural scents, I only have their word for it. I am not trying to trash Aventus, because I have used and loved it for a good while, I am just wondering how many ppl can really pick up these subtle notes, and how many are simply brand biased.

CDNIM is better in the drydown, but still scratchy. Freshly spray CDNIM on one hand and Aventus on the other, I guarantee anyone will be able to tell the difference unless their nose is completely trash. I’m staying unbiased because I wore CDNIM for quite a while, which is why it made it high up in my Most Complimented list. But after wearing the real thing, there’s no going back

Hello Dallas you know me , the guy that always put “drama” in the fragrance community Lol 😂 ... well after testing Aventus 1 week 1/2.. I’m not get into the hype , and I’m completely honest , you know me .... I paid 400+ dollars for , at least have a high quality fragrance that could put CDNIM into the trash, but to be honest Creed Aventus batch (2015,2016,2017) is TRASH! yeah I said it , I don’t get it, why you want to pay for 2% uniqueness, of high quality juice +300 dollars and have clones( CDNIM+pineapple vintage intense) that smell 98% the same for just 40 +/- 100 dollars (sorry for my broken English)... I’m about to give the entire bottle to my dad with price, so he , at least know it is expensive , and for me keep using CDNIM cause I’m not a fan of the scent,and bro ...I’m getting Mancera, bond #9, I have reflection man so ... I’m getting really quality juice ..... I’m not getting the Aventus hype to be honest , it is super expensive for a regular guy (ME) , yeah , I get your point Im wearing 🍋 super fresh, instead of synthetic floor cleaner but STILL it is a 300 dollar difference, it is way too much money , zero complement, my girlfriend literally said, when I was compering CDNIM against Aventus , “ohhh this is Aventus is stronger , that’s what you paid for it” I grabbed Aventus and put into the trash, she told me why?! I respect your honest opinion dude. Personally I find it unfair to judge Aventus off of its retail price, especially when the grey market for these frags are so huge. I could have found you a bottle for wayy less brother ;) If you think Creed is overpriced, look into some of the Roja and Xerjoff scents. Aventus really doesn't have to be that expensive though, I bought my bottle for $200 and you can get 100ml decants for way less than that. If CDNIM works for you man then more power to you, but honestly I think as you keep trying niche you'll outgrow it. Like I said, CDNIM has no depth and Aventus has the most depth out of all of my fragrances. For me that is enough to warrant the extra money. I do encourage you to sample some other Creeds though, don't let your hate for Aventus ruin your thoughts on the brand lmao. Don't apologize for sharing your opinion ! None of the newer batches have smoke, so you aren’t smelling that haha. You’ve most likely got a darker batch. Honestly, you really can’t judge Aventus off first sniff. Keep in mind Aventus has so much more depth than CDNIM, or any clone. It’ll also start to get better with age too, I wasn’t fully impressed with mine at first but once some air got into the bottle and it aged it’s a lot better now. I recommend to wear it every day for a week and see if your opinion has changed. Really give your nose a chance to get used to it. It’s better than rank CDNIM any day haha
