This is my Creed Aventus Review, Aventus by Creed Fragrance Review. I have had used bottles in the past as well I have bought and sold off decants of large Creed Aventus flacons before but never bought a full bottle of Aventus for myself and now I do and I wanted to review it and offer my opinion on this much loved and much hated classy release from Creed. Over the years I have come to love the simplicity and classiness of Creed Aventus and I am now proud to admit I wear this fragrance. It's the kind of fragrance that's not intrusive and a crowd pleaser. Everyone seems to love it on me and it garners many compliments. The problem with Creed Aventus is it's too popular and I can smell it on too many folks so it's not original. So are you a fan of Creed Aventus?

In the U.S. Just getting into niche fragrances. Green Irish Tweed was my first niche. Such a joy. Smelled Aventus a few times and didnt like it. It was mainly from a spray card so i dont feel i was getting the full effect. After getting deep in the reviews, tried it again and had the sales associate spray my hand. Once it started to dry down, I couldnt stop smelling my hand. It was breezy outside and I felt like new money. Such a pleasurable smell.

I really like aventus because it fresh, with the fruits, yet heavy with the birch. I am looking into a decant as I cannot afford the big bottle yet. I'm looking into sniffing royal Mayfair and erolfa. They don't get much love but they are very gentlemanly.

Great review. Your batch code pretty much translates to a 2016 H11 batch. Personally I find Aventus as you stated, is a great professional fresh scent. I also enjoy the batch variations, but there is no excuse for a frag with its price tag to have significant performance variations.

Why do I personally love it…?!?? It set the standard for me personally so many years ago as to what QUALITY INGREDIENTS means.... Recently, Roja Dove & Francis Kurkdjian gave had a similar impact on me..... My Top 5 Creeds are: Bois du Portugal, Windsor, Selection Verte, Sublime Vanilla & my 2010 batch of Neroli Sauvage......

Why I love Creed Aventus? I remember I bought this fragrance a while back in college as a junior. I found out about this line just by research because I’m very big on smelling good. When I first smelled it at the boutique in Manhattan, I immediately fell in love. I never smelled anything like it so I had to make the purchase. I still have my first bottle I ever purchased. Nobody knew this scent back at college which was a plus for me with the ladies. I remember I wore it to my cousins wedding and the amount of women that kept asking me what I was wearing was unbelievable. I had the pineapple batch and I wore it everyday because I loved it so much and it lasted me 8hours plus!. Every time I wear it, I usually get a few compliments. Every time I wear it I feel luxurious lol. Overall, a great recommended fragrance for a gentleman to have in his collection. I also have Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water, Original Santal & also Virgin Island Water! I’m located in NYC!

Never got the hype for Aventus (or Green Irish Tweed), but I generally think there's something about the genre of this fragrance - a certain combination of a bit freshness, masculinity and versatility. I had a bottle and sold it, but now will get another 50 ml through a sharing (for only 55 €), because the pineapple is more present while wearing it in warm weather. Though in my experience, within the same genre Micallef's Royal Vintage and Mancera's Cedrat Boise (quite different to Aventus actually) got me more compliments. The best Creed for me is Royal Oud.

I love Aventus because it was one of the first niche perfumes that really dragged me into the world of perfume and I went through my 30ml bottle too quickly. I never committed to a full purchase because the price wasn't worth it if I wasn't sure what batch I was getting; post 2014 Aventus didn't have that beautiful smokey birch I fell in love with. Why do I love Creed Aventus? For me this fragrance is unique. Its the sort of fragrance that will most definitely get those around you interested in it as it is uncommon for someone to use it but it is a beautiful smell, it's rare when you get a negative comment about this fragrance. The pineapple note is nice and refreshing and generally speaking its a fragrance that can be used all year round, but preferably during the day. Other fragrances I simply enjoy from Creed most definitively is the Creed Irish Tweed which feels like a fresh meadow and pine, which is a nice pair up with the Aventus. Country: USA

Purchased a bottle in 2015, wondered what all the noise was about. Wasn't bad, just didn't think it was anything special. Fast forward to 2017, it's all over the place ... crazy! Today, I love it because of how many compliments I got with samples and because I appreciate niche houses in general a bit more now. Sometimes the difference in quality is extremely obvious (like Aventus vs clones). The longevity could be better, and geeez @ the whole batch crap! As far as clones, combined it with Insurrection Pure II. Couldn't afford a bottle so I got the sample from the Creed Boutique, and sprayed both. As always, thanks for the vid Sebastian. Enjoyed it!

Aventus is the only Creed and niche fragrance I own and I love it for it’s pleasant, long-lasting, and unapologetically masculine scent. I also smelled and tried Green Irish Tweed but it doesn’t come close to the 👑 in Aventus. I live in the 🇺🇸 just like you Sebastian!

I love aventus because of it’s versatility throughout the seasons and the fact that according to a certain batch code you can experience a “smoky” or more “fruity” scent, both which I’m fond of. I live in the UK I'm 24 and I recently got into fragrances the first one that wowed me was la nuit de lhomme by YSL but since then I got more and more into fragrance and into niche I first smelled creed in September and I fell in love with the brand my favourites are green Irish tweed and Aventus and from my small samples Aventus certainly has been my biggest compliment getter I'm currently looking into buying a bottle from creed but don't know which to get GIT or Aventus I also like royal oud and royal Mayfair but don't see them as wearable all year round I keep buying small samples online and was wondering for the newbies what scents should you look into sampling when new to the niche market?

I really like Aventus, however personally I prefer Millésime Imperial even though I am not really into aquatics. I also get more compliments when wearing Millésime compared to Aventus. To me Aventus smells like someone who is very attractive and Millésime like someone who is very successful.

I do love Aventus, because it’s so versatile I can’t imagine a situation where you can’t wear iit. It is, as you said, a quite simple fragrance and that’s why it is a masterpiece : simplicity, classy, timeless. I’m a fan of Creed, their fragrances always have personnality and you can always smell quality. My favorites, beside Aventus, are GIT and Erolfa which I think is really underrated by fragrance community. I’m from France, btw. Great review ! I wish you had put some of the portraits’ fragrances from Penhaligon’s in your top from this also underrated brand.

I love Creed aventus soo much, I have tested it on skin at Nordstrom but the price is what beats me. Very Fruity, woodsy, musky crisp and refreshing, I have the Armaf club de Nuit intense man which I get soo many compliments on. I would love to get that 5ml decant to make me whole Sebastian. I love Creed Aventus because it has a nice smoky citrus tone to it and gets great feedback. I think Silver Mountain Water is also a full bottle worthy fragrance. I love Aventus, Royal Oud and Spice & Wood, they are very expensive so the only way I was able to get my nose on these scents was to get samples from Holt Renfrew here in Toronto. All in all Creed is a great house, very versatile. I also like Vetiver Geranium, Millesime Imperial, GIT and VIW.

Refreshing take on this fragrance! I smelled it a few times and worn it once and i was not "wowed". If I buy Creed I would prefer for it be unique! It does smell very good but I'd rather not smell like everyone else. For now, I may continue to build my Tom Ford Private Blend before venturing into the house of Creed

Great review Sebastian. I too was one of those that Aventus gradually grew on me. I got a few samples from Nordstrom to get an idea of all the hype, but never could justify the cost and purchasing a full bottle. Instead I have been wearing Pineapple Vintage Instense & Noir which to my nose are very close to Aventus, but at a fraction of the cost. The Creed's that I have purchased full bottles of are Milliseme Imperiale, Silver Mountain Water & Green Irish Tweed which were love at first smell.

There is a boutique near my workplace, so i went first to try it on paper and see what the hype is all about. The first time i smelled this fragrance the words that came to my mind were: fresh, masculine, classy man ! This scent was very new to me, since i don't have any niche fragrances in my collection, nor have i smelled it before on anyone. Aventus lasted approximately 3 days on paper ! So the performance was there, and i wanted to try it again on my skin. I eventually visited their boutique again and with just a single spray on the inside of my elbow joint, Creed Aventus lasted more than 24 hours on me !!! And this is enough for me to make it worth buying ! I love the scent and the performance of this fragrance ! Although to be totally honest, for this amount of money you have to pay to get one, the quality and the materials of the packaging and the bottles, well... sucks... and that is an understatement... Hell ! You can buy designer fragrances for 4 times lower price than the Aventus, that have better materials and design for both the packaging and the bottle ! Very disappointing... Even with all of those disappointments, i still love it ! Maybe it is the love of the new and undiscovered, but i will buy it and find out if it is more than that. This will be my first niche fragrance, since i only have designer fragrances in my collection, and i will buy this on Christmas because of its higher price. I am somewhat new to the fragrance world so feel free to recommend me anything to get in the future.

You are absolutely right Sebastian . It’s classy but not unique . Royal Mayfair & Royal oud definitely my top 2 from creed . I like aventus but I don’t love it & that is just me . If I want to wear something fruity & Woody I will definitely reach for DIOR BOIS D’ ARGENT first & again , that is just me ! I really like most Creeds I'd ever try, but Aventus is by far the king of compliments, in my whole collection, I own several Creeds like Original Vetiver, Green Irish Tweed, Millesime Imperial, Silver Mountain Water, Creed Royal Mayfair, Tabarome, and (( in my shopping list are Royal Oud, Bois Du Portugal, Spice & Wood, Creed Pure White Cologne (Les Royales Exclusives)) However I think they are over price or at least I wish they were not as pricey as they are, nevertheless are great fragrances.

Creed Aventus is my second favorite fragrance ever. Btw, my favorite Creed is Silver Mountain Water. Other Creed's I enjoy include Royal Oud, Millesime Imperial, Original Vetiver, EROLFA, Viking (yes I like it), VIW, Acier Aluminum, Sublime Vanille and a few others The only Creed fragrance that I'm not a big fan of, that I've tried is Original Santal.

Will say this, though, I get bored with pretty much every fragrance I actually purchase and some I get so full of they start to make me sick, p.ex. The One EDP, Acqua di Parma Fico di Amalfi or the new Tobacco Vanille formulation but Aventus, while I don’t like it as much as I used to, I still enjoy it. Other fragrances that stood the test of time, Frapin 1270, Byredo Gypsy Water, Tom Ford Oud Wood, Comme des Garcons Wonderoud, even Creed Virgin Island Water.

I actually won a bottle of Aventus in a raffle. I like the scent; however, I can't call it the king of fragrances in my collection. On the other hand, every time I wear it, I consistently get compliments from females. Its my most complimented fragrance, 2nd comes Bleu de Chanel as you have mentioned in the video. Woman find Aventus to be masculine and very appealing. As for me, I am a huge fan of Original Santal and Acier Aluminum.

It was so unique to me at first since it was my first niche purchase. I love it however, I'm starting to pick off the scent by people wearing it. I just started to get into fragrances and have noticed many people saying this is their #1 signature scent. I can’t say I’ve smelled it yet. I live in small town in Vermont so the concept of smells besides farming/animals/diesel smells are a bit foreign here.

Hey brother, never had a chance to smell the Creed Aventus, only a few online retailers sell in Israel so I don’t wanna buy blind, it’s costs over $400 for 100ml in Israel. I think Aventus was indeed a unique fragrance when by the time it was released. Back then, there wasn't any fragrance that was similar to Aventus. Nowadays, it's a over and over and overdone scent. Creed as a brand is a victim of Aventus success. See what happened to Viking. Not discussing the marketing (which wasn't the best imo), but as a scent, people are still in the Aventus DNA. As for myself, I really like Aventus, but it's not my all time favourite nor I think it's the best scent ever created. Millesime Imperial and Virgin Island Water are more creative and unique as a scent and I love both of them. GIT is also really good, but again, it shares the same problem of Aventus. Good review. I have Aventus and one of its clones, Vibrant Leather. VL has a harsh open compared to Aventus. It also does not last. Further, it lacks the complexity in the drydown as the fruity-citrusy note lingers on while Aventus evolves into a woodier and muskier scent (which is what attracted me to the fragrance in the first place). Call me crazy but the woody drydown reminds me of Interlude Man on its last legs, albeit more subtle and sans the incense note. I really cannot comment on other clones as I have never tried them. As far as Aventus itself, I love it but I would agree with most that the price is a bit steep for what it offers. Still, I would no doubt buy another bottle after mine runs out.

is it true what some people say though, that theres no such thing as batch variations. its only due to the difference each batch is given the time to infuse more and therefore results in a more complex version?

Wow they are very expensive in the us! In portugal the retail price is about 250eur for a 120ml. The latest batch is much more fruity and weaker on my skin then the older ones but it's great for warm weather. I miss that ashy smokiness tho, it's what gives a punch to the fragrance to me

I enjoy Aventus but right I've smelled it everywhere. Which is annoying bc I don't like smelling like others. The key is buying it now and break it out in 5 to 8 years when it's popularity has waned. Irish Tweed is a favorite of mine, which is popular also but I don't smell it as often on others.

Hi sebastian, I've never smelled aventus, it's not available in our country Tunisia, but i tried zara vibrant leather and mancera cedrat boise, so i imagine how it smell like

Nice, you still got a 120ml bottle, where I live there is no longer any 120ml bottles left. Made a big mistake on waiting for better deal... Back when it was released, I was blown away by the quality and uniqueness, you just could smell this true birch and pineapple having this natural feeling. Sadly, in my opinion clones really made this creation no longer unique or special as it was, but nevertheless, Aventus will be future classic, for creating new genre in fragrances. I really like more fruity batches, yet I really prefer Cedrat Boise because of that matter and of course the price and even better performance. Yet I always had amazing performance with Aventus. Love a lot of Creed fragrances, yet I have only GIT, absolutely adore SMW and Original Vetiver. EU, Lithuania

I like the freshness or brightness of Adventus. Milesime Imperial is probably my favorite though. I’m in the United States 🇺🇸

Hello Sebastian, Good day to you from India. 🇮🇳 Why do I love Aventus? Because it’s Aventus :D Honestly I think it’s a masterpiece from Creed and absolutely unique. With all the alternatives in the market I still believe this one to be the best and no one has actually nailed a perfect clone of it. Also you’ve mentioned that it’s a generic smelling fragrance but I beg to differ as it might feel generic in 2018 with all the alternatives and so many similar smelling things out there. But in 2010 it was groundbreaking. Pineapple, citrus, birch, oak moss, patchouli, ambergris goodness.

Great review. Haven’t worn this yet. Smelled it once. It does smell good. I would like to own a bottle one day and prefer the more fruity scent as well. But I’m pretty sure there are other fragrances I’ll like better than this. Thanks Sebastian✌🏻

Aventus lacks depth in general. It’s an okay fragrance for me compared to designer clones, but I much prefer SMW as that smells a lot more subtle and not as flamboyant as Aventus.

It's by far the best complimented fragrance I own. I women said ... "omg sir stay here." She quickly returned with another women and said "smell him." For me Aventus is an easy going casual wear fragrance but people love it.

olá! tudo bem? Sou do Brasil e admiro e acompanho seus vídeos, seu trabalho. Aqui não temos loja creed e acabei comprando este perfume em um site. O suco do perfume tem uma cor mais esverdeada/ amarela ao contrário das resenhas que vejo que o suco tem a cor branca... além disso vi que há frascos diferentes.. aí fiquei achando que o que comprei pode ser falso. não teria como vc fazer um vídeo falando sobre a mudança do frasco, da cor do perfume, etc. o meu eu comprei de 100 ml e o frasco é como este do seu vídeo, mas a cor é diferente. Obrigado.

Aventus is okay. Not a huge fan of the opening but let me tell you what: nothing beats that Aventus musky funky drydown. That's where the moneys at! Im from Maryland.

I love every creed I have tried so far but they are a bit overpriced. I absolutely love Aventus just so manly it makes me feel so confident. I also love green Irish tweed very very gentlemanly and classy fresh it's spring in a bottle. I am in the U.S.

I have heard so much about this fragrance but have never smelled it. I love that you mention it's a great blend of fruity, woody and musk notes. I have so little exposure to Creed so I'd be thrilled to win a decant! I live in Pennsylvania (USA)

Great review. I can see the suppressed excitement. I would have to disagree with you on one thing though, Aventus was very ground breaking. I mean yeah there’s a shit load of dupes now but when it was first released there was nothing like it. I own GIT, MI and 2 bottles of Aventus. Need I say which one is my favorite 😬

Nice review as always, glad you finally did one on Aventus. I love Aventus for it’s smell and for what it did to the industry. Not talking about the uncountable clones out, but for that fruity-fresh vibe that has become popular over the last years. There would be no sauvage, no dylan blue and no other popular ambroxan bomb without Aventus, I think we have to admit and respect that. I do get solid 8-9 hours out of it and it is office-save. Other Creeds I own are Virgin Island Water, Royal Oud and Spice and Wood. Price is an issue, but they are way cheaper over here in Europe :-) Greetings from Luxemburg

Aventus is really good but the batch variations really sucks. I mean i had a small decant of aventus 2014 batch and was really really potent, the projection was huge. 3 months ago i've purchased another decant, a 2017 batch and it was so so weak...a maximum of 4 hours longevity with 1 h projection :( now that's just sad. Great video, thanks for the draw, i live in the EU.

Don't get me wrong... I LOVE the aventus scent and I have a bottle... but it just doesn't last on me. And for $300 plus I expect to get better performance. I would say personally go with armaf CDNIM and save your money.
