One of my favourite scents, very gentlemanly. Not sure why it's not more popular. lasts way better than most creeds and often the most discounted.

The thing is Joseph, most people follow trend, it takes intelligence to seek out the real deal. You are on the right path as you are discovering the great fragrances worth having :)

It's because it has a dated vibe. I do enjoy it but every time I wear it I feel 15 years older. I personally prefer Erolfa. Beautiful.

AC, first of all we all appreciate the kind words and hope that you are staying safe:) you are the first one to give this a complete and fantastic review may be since this frag was released! I always wanted to get a bottle of this BUT I read about its performance and most of the people like the smell but complain about the performance. I now would probably feel a little more comfortable with that regard after what you explained. By the way, I am a classic 80s frag lover. Thanks a lot and stay safe please

Zamen, I had no issues with the performance at all. It really lasted a very long time on me, but projection like most creeds is medium. The scent is just superb though. I suggest you get a decant and test it on your skin to see how you feel about it.

This is my favourite Creed. I have samples of Aventus, Viking, Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water and Royal Water. I can't smell Silver Mountain Water immediately after spraying, which is very strange. I like GIT, but can't smell it very soon after spraying either. Aventus performances very good on my skin and I like it, but don't get the hype. I don't care for Viking. Royal Water on the other hand....I absolutely love it. It performances pretty good too. This will probably be the only Creed I'll buy a full bottle of. Thanks for this review. I don't think it smells dated at all, just a beautiful clean smelling fragrance. Fantastic! Beautifully described review. Royal Water is one of my favourite Creeds. Forgotten by some, but a classic, imo. Plus, the latest formulation has excellent performance.

Asking because I love Royal Water (actually the only Creed I want to own), and thinking about buying it, my decant has a few years and since Creed is famous for their batch variations etc i'm a bit afraid to spend so much money, any help is welcome :) thanks

I had it and returned it. Exactly as you said it smelled dated, and ordinary for its price. Royal Mayfair was a way better pick. Thanks for upping up your reviews to entertain the people that have to remain on lock down during the Covid-19 crisis.

All I get with this is a clean, crisp, herbal citrus. Very fresh and sharp, perfect for spring/summer, casual or even more formal. I don't get at all why people interpret this as dated! Can anyone articulate why? Is it reminding you guys of a specific old fragrance? This is my summer dumb reach but I don't want to smell old!

Please I'm irked you're even thinking about a bottle and not diving head first, it's just a perfect scent.😂 😂 😂, this is a fantastic no brainer for a nose like me and you. The older bottle has some slight floral undertones, but just subtle differences.
