Yes, John Fogerty wrote and sang the songs, but none of his solo bands can groove like this. Stu and Doug are a great rhythm section - they were the special sauce that made CCR sound like CCR. CCRevisited may be a cover band, but they own the original band's authentic inimitable funk. John can hire all the expensive talent he can get, but he can never re-capture this vibe without these guys.
@tommytomcat1a7 жыл бұрын
Amen! It's a disservice to JF's great songs to have them rushed and cymbal crashed to smithereens like I've heard an 'expensive talent' do when touring with JF. Gotta love how E Easton grooves with the originals and honors JF's tone and licks on guitar.
@jeffdowler91307 жыл бұрын
Tommy, That hot dog drummer that Johns so proud of can't lick the mustard off Phil's hickory. Why they have to change the hole groove to some of the music they play. They were my favorite band. Sorry, I wouldn't go see Johns band if they came to town.

Disgraceful and a shame they couldn’t sort their petty grievances out. It’s john on these songs and no one else. It’s a disservice to the art they created together. Gone is the excitable energy. This is paint by numbers revenge.

I see the lead singer pronounces "Born" as "Boin" just like Fogerty. He is a stickler for detail. ;)

Great "cover" of CCR, but unfortunately not CCR without JF. Just has the feel of listening to a good CCR cover band. Not diminishing any of the talent of this CCR incarnation, but just one man's opinion.

you dumbass that is CCR with an other singer. the drums and the bass are CCR and the guitar is from the 70tes - 80tes band the cars! this is not a cover band!
godawful, even for a cover band. Go see John Fogerty, he's touring, to find out how these songs are supposed to sound. He wrote, sang, played the guitar licks, and produced every one of the Creedence hits. These guys have been cashing in on John's songs - even the two original members had nothing to do with creating the songs. The bass player and drummer wrote a couple of songs that ended up on the last two Creedence albums. Why don't they do those songs instead? Elliot high tailed it out of there as soon as the Cars reunited. Can't imagine that he was that desperate, to take this gig.

This fake singer trying to copy the great John Fogerty is a disaster. Maybe he could get a gig rappin in a high school band, but to try and copy Fogerty is a disgrace. Listen to Fogerty sing Born on the Bayou-- definitely puts this imposter to shame.
