I love how Elliot Easton just tears up this song , really makes it his own while paying respect to the original song! And I love that wry grin at 7:04

El mejor solo de guitarra que he visto en toda mi vida en vivo. Alucinante y majestuosa ejecución por parte de Elliot, cuando visitaron México en el 99 y yo estuve en primera fila.

Amazing performance out of this group led by their fearless lead guitarist Elliot Easton who is quite possibly on of the top guitarists on the planet 🌎 as we know it today. This is the very best version of the song I’ve ever heard! Thanks to you guys

Worth it just for the Elliot Easton solo. He never got to do that in The Cars.
@dbarbour83523 жыл бұрын
Actually he had a few extended solos with The Cars. “Touch and Go” “Take What You Want” and “You’re All I’ve Got Tonight” quickly come to mind. E E can do solos i in a few seconds that are equally amazing compared to his longer compositions. It is not just the solos with E E though. He also kept The Cars 🚘 rocking throughout almost every song. Elliot Easton guitarist extraordinarie!

CCR's version of Grapevine, pretty obscure, is a great song much beloved by CCR fans. Never hear it on the radio; someone unaware of it would rarely stumble across it. Great version here.

People in Arkansas has always wondered why Wade Branham of the Jamestown Flood Band was never recruited to take the lead vocal and guitar reigns with CCREV? Listen to Jamestown Flood Band version of 'Long as I can see the light' here on youtube. Best Fogerty cover on here in our opinion. Plays all CCR'S guitar leads also. Y'all are awesome tho.

El solo de guitarra muy superior al original de fogerty, y es en vivo este elliot es un fenómeno, sonido compacto y muy bueno
@bradacz11 жыл бұрын
Its Creedence Clearwater Revised, its Drummer and Bassist of creedence. Because the solo guitarrist died at 90´s and Fogerty didnt want play together. But the spirit is alive.
@Black5heep624 жыл бұрын
The beauty of the real Creedence version was the the way Fogerty and clifford played of each other during the extended jam,but here doug just seems content to be a drum machine for eason, who while being a great guitarist has just treated this as a chance for him to be showcased regardless of the feel of the song.

It was and is a disgrace that Doug Clifford and Stu Cook weren't even allowed on stage when CCR was inducted into the Rock and Roll HOF. I like John Fogerty's music but what did Doug and STU ever do to him to deserve that insult? They sound great here!
@stephenhawkingsfootballboo78852 жыл бұрын
It's because Stu and Doug sided with Saul Zaentz and Fantasy Records against John regarding their contract. And let's admit the obvious: John Fogerty IS Creedence Clearwater Revival.
@bolo53402 жыл бұрын
John had his reasons for what went down in the band. It's not so much what they did as opposed to what they didn't do, and that was not really appreciating the amazing talent that was the driving force in CCR, i.e , John Fogarty. He wrote both music and lyrics, was also both lead singer and lead guitar player, musical arranger in recording, was the voice of the band, did most the promoting and financial negotiating, and the true creative force behind the success of CCR - let's just say the guy was pretty important part of the puzzle -- he was doing way more than just a mere 1/4 of the work, so it makes sense he should get paid more then the others. But they didn't see it that way. 4 guys in band, just because you're 1/4 of the band doesn't mean your 1/4 significant LeBron James is 1/5 of Lakers but he's WAAAAAY more important to team than a measly 1/5th - at times he might be 75% of the production of the team. Same with Tom Brady, he has way more importance to the team then the rest if the players. Cook and Clifford weren't respecting Fogarty's requests and ideas about finances and direction -- I love Cook and Clifford and to this day Clifford is still one of my favorite drummers with his minimalist pocket style, none the less they both got what they deserved ---- left behind
