No other band in the 1960's better portrayed and reflected the feelings , fears , and frustations of soldiers in the Vietnan jungle than CCR. John Fogerty's spirit was out in the wild with those guys. It's amazing how these lyrics it was so real those who were in that hell.

Had Viet Nam Veteran roommates who endured DEVASTATING EXPERIENCES in "The War that Divided America"... They returned to their respective Homes and felt Unappreciated for committing their Lives, had Lost Friends and Suffered. They felt compelled to leave their Hometowns on "The Mainland" and Escaped to the Islands. Eventually, the #Veterans were publicly Acknowledged for their Sacrifices, Mental Anguish and Recovery... But MOST Civillians STILL Do NOT APPRECIATE that Veterans were Conscripted VICTIMS! Thank You Veterans for Trying to restore #Peace and ENDURING SUCH HORRIFYING Mental Anguish and Personal Loss that WARS create... Wish Today's #Media and #Governments could Appreciate that NO ONE WINS in WAR, it's a Vicious HORRIFYING Endeavor! WARS should be THE LAST RESORT... PEACEFUL RESOLUTION Negotiations THE PRIORITY! Thank You for considering my Thoughts on such a #SENSITIVE Issue. Mahalo! #Pace! Peace! Shalom! ❤

@@jacquelinereynolds9442 What year was this that it happened ,from your prior comment. My uncle was kia mid- 3/1968 in SouthVietnams Central- Highlands, near Pleiku , tail end of TET. It happened 10 days before my 11th bday. Knew neighbors sons, and friends brothers who were sent there , some cameback , and some didn't. All this occurred between the years of 64 to 71! Remember the protests, which by 1967 , were gaining tons of momentum , especially when you witnessed , on T.V. , the TET Offensive of early 1968 (1/68 til 3/68). It was on the tube every night , and on tje airwaves of radio everyday non- stop. The Media really perpetuated the widespread violent protests, especially on the college campuses ; ie: Kent State Masscre in early Spring of 1970 , when 3, or 4 , students were shot dead when disobeying police , and National Guardsmen 's oders to disband , ans disperse , but the protesters were tossing objects at the authorities , escalating more disobedience!

I was born 1974. I've discovered CCR, I mean, 1996. A collegue of me (from Hungary, I'm a Romanian) had some audiocassetes of CCR. I remember, their music was for me initially something strange but I couldn't stop listen to. Till these days and surely beyond. No disappoint.

Now that sounds like a movie, if u need a partner, a real friend, a loyal motha fucka' ..wether we up or down.. I would love to work . People don't know, but that's hard work brotha'.. and, not just anybody can do it.. especially if it's not illegal anymore, is it or not? If it is, than that's a bummer. Because, that flower could only be a positive force to people, wether they have special medical needs for use, or just because they love it.. I don't think it can be a negative at all... So I would be super down, and even brand my personal strain. That Fireee ass treeee'! .. I would call it "PG&e" !! Because, that's that CaLi grown'! PG&E would be fireeeee

Dougs drumming and Stus bass playing. Both were integrel parts of CCRs sound. As much as I love John, even with a much larger group of crack players they cant reproduce this. They are plenty great but just not the same. And Yes Stus bass lines are fantastic.
