WOW ! That bridge and those rocks at your right at 2:36 is def where i would cast. Sometimes ( always ) fish are are right next to you , people seems to think that the further you cast the better but this aint true at least , it depends on what species. shallow waters with weed or rocky bottoms are GREAT to let a wacky pumkin green senko fall. They make hooks that are made to ''weedless-wacky'' mount your senko on the hook so you go through the dense parts of your pond or river. And why is that man 1:53 sound like its god !?! 🙂 Tip:NEKO hooks ( with a longer shank ) is what i use now for wacky. its really like the fish as a popsicle wooden stick to put is lip on before you pull him like its a huge cotton candy at the state fair.

For breaking off a snag on light spinning gear, I recommend that with the bail closed holding onto the spool so it can't spin. Point the rod straight at where it is snagged and walk/ move straight backward. The line will break at its weakest point, usually the knot, unless you have damaged the line farther up. No need for getting a glove or rag on light spinning gear with LB tests under 30 or 40.

When you get snagged wrap a rag around your hand or heavy glove, get a good grip of the line and pull until the line snaps. It usually breaks at the knot so you get most of the line back and keep the pond clean. You’re really catching the fever huh! 🎣

Glad to see this comment up top, was about to say the same thing. PLUS the added chance of simply breaking the weed/branch that you're stuck on and getting your lure back. In this situation I would have also tried walking around the bank to the left side, good chance of the lure freeing itself from a new angle, when possible.

Love your videos. It's nice to see a beginners side of fishing. I started fishing again, a little over a year ago, after almost 20 years. I had never really fished lures back then but after catching my first bass ever on a cheap Walmart swim bait, I was instantly addicted. Now I go fishing multiple times a week and have spent way more money than I care to admit but I'm still learning. So it's nice to watch someone else learning as well instead of all the pro anglers and content creators. It gets a little overwhelming. I find your videos to be a lot more calming and genuine. Great fishing girl, like the way you cast your open face , you do good. Rooster tails are hard to get spinning sometimes unless you reeling them in at a good speed. Beatle spins work just as good for catching fish an they kinda spin aotomatically. As far as artificial worms 7 to 7.5 purple sparkly or red purple sparkly have done me the best over a liketime. An if you ever see fish hitting the top of the water quite a bit there are different kind of topwater popping baits but one called tiny torpedo with a spinner on both ends has been good for me too, you can cover a big area kinda quick but then you can slow it down an just give it a little jerk every 4 or 5 seconds. Sometimes too with big nightcrawlers that have a little weight to them you can fish without a sinker an the worm will sink slower an get more hits sometimes. Fishing is so much fun but can be aggrevating too lol cause sometimes doing all the right things they still dont bite they just look atr it lol. Anyway your doing great. Just one more thing is I always tried to have 2 fishing poles so I could have 2 different baits an if one pole something happened I still had the other. Best of luck fisherman......

I randomly got recommended your other videos, I could definitely see your improvement! Great job. I’ve been fishing since I was a kindergartner, and now I’m 15. Been doing it for 9 ish years. The more I did it the more I got addicted to it. My very first fish was actually a 13 pound blue cat. I also learned saltwater fishing over the years, and eventually learned to bass fish. Now I’ve got it all mastered. I love seeing others getting out and doing it. (Especially younger people like me since a lot don’t have even the will to step outside) Keep up the good work though!

Also a side note: when you get snagged try walking around to different angles, and pulling straight back with your hand over the reel. Try not to do it so hard it breaks, if it won’t come out just use a rag and pull straight back to break it off.

Another great video! One important tip i can give from this video. Instead of cutting your line just wrap it around your hand (you can use a rag or something if you want but it can damage the line) or around your hip and pull it so it can snap at the knot and not leave any line in the water. Its much better for all the fisherman as it is for the lake/ducks to not leave any line behind they can get snagged on. You are doing great!

Probably 3/16ths of an inch in diameter. We'd throw a slice out, it would float and they would come tear it apart in a feeding frenzy. While they were feeding we'd toss our hook and bread bait out there and hook them quickly. Good way to win a tournament for the most fish. Don't know if they would appreciate baiting them with a floating slice though. I'll check out your Amazon list

With a snag that you cant get off, what i do is just put my hand on top of the reel holding it so no drag will come out and then pulling your rod straight back level with your line with all the tension just on the line until it snaps. If your weights stuck under a rock sometimes 2 quick snaps of your rod will free it, when you do get snagged dont yank it so hard immediately, a lot of the time i find if you let it go slack right when you feel it, then reposition or slowly lift you can drag it out/over whatever it is. With plastic worms a lot of the time i cut mine in half and then very slowly jig it back, smallmouth along with largemouth absolutely love this. Its also important to figure out what the fish are eating, if its just shad then use white spinners maybe with a hint of yellow or chartreuse. If the bass have red lips then that means they are eating crawfish off bottom so use a worm or a crawfish imitation. Get some braided line too, unlike the rubberband (monofilament) you can feel whats going on down there a lot more. Anyways have fun reading this essay and good luck.

Love the guys in the background talking about car parts and stuff. Got a buddy I go fishing with occasionally and that's typically the only conversation topic project cars and fish if we catch any. Might want to play around with different baits and lures and see what works best for that area. I e got some spots lures never work for anyone and live bait does and the complete opposite in other spots. Just need to gift out the fishs preferred bait.

even though i know close to nothing about cars i love sitting and listening to him tell me everything on his mind about what he’s working on and trying to understand and ask questions because i love making his interests feel valued & i know one day ill wish he was still around to listen to. this is great advice about finding out what works and where. thank you!

@@sleepiehead yes definitely enjoy and cherish as much time as you can with your loved ones like him. Wouldn't hurt to soak in as much knowledge from him as you can as well. Youve probably noticed how many different colors variations there are for 1 type of lure it's because fish can be picky. And when you fishing he river look for current changes in the water like swirls on the top. Something that disturbs the movement of the water constantly and try running your baits near there.

8:51 if you are snagged and can’t get it out hold your reel so line doesn’t come out and pull straight back so you don’t bend the rod and risk breaking it

Try this , seaguar red 6lb fluro + swivel + float and night crawler size 10 to 8 hook = blue gill slayer And this other is for trout seaguar red 6lb fluro leader with Carolina rig power bait end and a pinch on back that hook with night crawler it will slay trout badly I cought so many trout and competed don’t forget use size 12 tremble hooks with power bait and size 10 mosquito hooks owner type with tiny pinch crawler you can puff them and happy fishing 🎣

No weight on worms can be a good thing . Let the bait drift to the bank slowly reel in recast and repeat ten times. It works with panfish artificial baits to if the current is right .

Fish don't like pink too much. Try green, black or white for lures. Or just give them a smile with your cute brown eyes to come to you.

an easy way to break ur line is to hold ur reel where ur line is at and walk backwards. hold the reel will stop ur drag from engaging. this will break ur line at the hook.

thank you! 😇 ive been using divinci resolve 18.6 and have only watched maybe a handlful of youtube videos explaining how to use the software. its pretty easy! id say its a bit more complicated than something simple like imovie, but if you can understand imovie then moving up a notch to something like divinci should be relatively easy. and its free! :)
