This is the most underrated cover of all time. Not even 1 million views and its been online since 2009!? Music like this deserves more recognition, but instead we get the trash that mainstream media and radio shove down our throat.

Heard it from the Simpsons 5 years back, and since then, I find myself listening to it every month

@@JasonGonza-o5j that's cool the Simpsons used it, I think I heard it first on the trailer for The Social Network, either way, such a great cover!

I don't think there is a single person on the planet that can't listen to this song, this version and say that they cannot relate to it. This song defines us all. Simply fantastic job

That song expressed every moment of pain that I endured in high school and the only reason I did not leave the game early is because I buried my pain way down and used it to survive, used it to get stronger so that today I can help those kids who see no light at the end of the tunnel see the light in themselves....

I travelled to Malmo (Sweden) last weekend to see the Vega and Scala choirs do a concert in a local church - it was fantastic and it was free ! Both choirs performed separately during the concert doing various covers & originals and they also joined together for a few songs - including a magnificent performance of Creep - sung by 50 female voices. It was brilliant, powerful and moving - as was the whole concert. A great experience - glad I decided to make the trip from London.....

Looking back as a Gen X'er I'm proud that our generation's contribution to music history is songs like this and the Seattle Grunge sound. I never really thought we'd have anything to offer, but then the 90's came along and so did some kid named Cobain. It was an era of maturity in music in stark contrast to the decade before and commercial, whammy bar schlock like Van Halen. And in deep contrast to what would follow. Curt died, Grunge faded and pop/rock went back into adolescence, never to take itself seriously again.

This video gave me goose bumps....I stopped listening to this song because I didn't like how it made me feel, but when I heard this version on the preview for Social Network, I thought it sounded pretty cool again and wanted to check it out. After watching the video, I just wanted to take the opportunity to assure anyone who is in a dark place that YOU ARE NOT ALONE; YOU ARE LOVED; THERE IS HOPE. Jesus Saves

I think the meaning of this song is to recognize yourself. If you want to be special you have to know that people are individuals. The story in this song is told from someone who hasn't noticed yet that he/she is already someone special.

This song means so much to me. If you actually listen to the word it's so sad and powerful meaning. I just want to let everyone know that even if you don't feel like someone loves you may that be a friend, mom, dad or anything. Just know someone out there does! I know that sounds so cliche but I recently went to anytown camp and it made me realize so many things and completely changed my life..

I love u so much brother, I am lost without u. You have a beautiful soul, non-judgemental, compassionate, sensitive, strong n loving. I hope u can grow and begin to trust others and open yourself up. When I see u again soon I wont beable to help myself from not crying, cuz u helped me live again and i could never hate u. The fact that noone could ever understand the unconditional passion we share; speaks great depth how much meaning we have together. We can now elivate to new levels. Luv ya!!

This is fantastic. I believe that the lyrics are more at home in this presentation than in the original.
@chuckufarley78668 жыл бұрын
The original seemed to be more specific to one person that Thom Yorke, or the persona that Mr. Yorke has the song portray, sees from a position of knowing that they will never be a part of their world. This presentation is more the invisible person in a world that goes on about them, who longs just to be noticed, even those that most consider to be the "beautiful person. I agree, the latter does seem to make the lyrics more at home, though I do enjoy Thom Yorke's angst driven version.

I can say that this piece of music certainly added a strong essence of, well, creepiness to "The Social Network" trailer, a kind of eerieness that fit perfectly. It made it have a darker tone, and, if the trailer is any indication of what the movie will be like, I can't wait. This may be far out, but it may even be a strong Oscar contender. Whatever happens, this cover is freaking awesome (original still rocks though); epic and creepy, and I love it. 10/10 (no dislikes so far; hope it keeps up)!

There's something more haunting about this being sung by a chorus than in the original. Like it can be everyone's story instead of the just the one voice telling you about itself. Maybe that's just because I can't stop picturing the social network trailer.
