Tragically, several years ago, I believe he was found hanged in his basement. I can't recall the specifics, but he was iconic and beloved by all. Element Animation just hasn't been the same without his voice.

Just rewatched this synced up with the original, and I love how you changed some things to make it fit better with modern Minecraft. For example in the original, the part at 1:28 is a stone building, while in this new one it's a pillager outpost. And at 1:35 in the original, the person in the middle stacked blocks to get up, but in this one they're using scaffolding. Also Steve's girl throughout the video is replaced with Alex in this version, since she didn't exist when the original version came out. Love the attention to detail. Keep it up. 👍

i love how expressive the creeper is in the new one, since he kinda just had a flat “nothing” face in the original edit for a specific example, look at his face in 0:23 as well as the general camera pan, its a lot more satisfying to watch than the original its really cool to compare

@@kodekYT I'd say the older artstyle is a better representation of Minecraft (I prefer it too) but the actual animation (movement, character staging, facial expressions, etc.) and graphical quality (physics, shading, lighting, etc.) in this is *LEAGUES* better than the original to an almost staggering point. Seriously, the animation in this version is ligitmately like high-budget TV show quality.

One small thing I would have changed is the staticness of the 2 creepers behind the main one, in the previous version it was a lot worse, but its still very noticeable in this version. Maybe having those creepers look at the camera will help aswell. Other then that, awesome! Such an improvement over the old one, yet very close to the original.
