creeper is an explosive and hostile mob found in the highest grossing game of all time, minecraft, developed by Mojang. it is green in color all over its body which is supposed to camouflage itself from the grassy fields in minecraft. Next to zombies and skeletons, it spawns during the night or when the light level is low enough. when struck my lightning, it transforms into a charged creeper, which deals more damage and increases the blast radius when detonated. Notch, the original creator of minecraft, has gone on record saying the creeper was a mistake when coding the pig, another minecraft mob, but he liked the design so much he kept it in but as a hostile mob.
among us is a social deduction video game created by the developers of innersloth. you play as multicoloured spacemen called "crewmates" and you must finish tasks strewn about the map all while trying to find the impostor among your group. the impostor's goal is to kill every crewmate and to not get caught doing so. The game rose in popularity on twitch during the pandemic in 2020 with famous youtubers playing it like disguisedtoast, pokimane, sykkuno, jacksepticeye, and many others. The crewmates themselves have fallen into meme posts where the joke is that they can be found everywhere.

But how they reference it was just *golden* the fact that he's basically saying the Creeper is also an impostor was just golden. The impostor syndrome line from Creeper was really good too. So honestly it was close but I think Red took the cake for this one.

I should've commented on this a lot sooner, since I watched this a long while back, but better late then never. So let me just say... Oh. My. God. The fact that a battle with the Creeper from Minecraft and Among Us imposter is this ungodly good is insane. Each rapper spits disses that hit harder than a truck, the beat is great, the flows are awesome, the casting is amazing (I especially love Dilly's performance), the writing is stellar and oh my god that animation! Spectacular job with that! I love this battle so much and I don't think this comment can do that justice.

Very good script, very good animation, but the character voices were too similar for the kind of speed rap beat you laid down. I understood the lyrics, but I couldn't follow who was saying what.

I could easily tell who was saying what; the voices were distinct and I know what both rappers sound like. I’m sure you were initially listening to this under certain limiting conditions, including not knowing beforehand what each side sounded like. My problem instead was that the Among Us impostor’s fast rap gave me difficulty in following along to what exactly was being said there.

The Creeper won by A LOT here given it had MANY more disses and was the clear winner in the first round. The (red) Among Us imposter was flexing for too much (even if it still had well-written lines) and its fast-paced part was too much at one. It may have had a better second round performance, but it was a bare win compared to the Creeper’s landslide first round victory. But oh well, opinions are subjective and people can disagree is they want to.

I’m going to disagree with you. Analyzing the lyrics, the Creeper had a BUNCH of disses in its first verse, and the Among Us impostor had only three-four proper disses that round. Now you may argue that it had a fast delivery within the second part of its first verse to make up for that, but for me, it is too much at once and really is hard to follow. The second round is much closer, but the Creeper was already well ahead, and while the Among Us impostor did have a better performance, it was not even close enough to make up for the several disses and wordplay the Creeper had. TL; DR the Creeper won by a sizable margin.
