Water change every week, fertilizing twice a day, water testing every other week and plant cutting every month or so.

How deep is the water your dwarf puffers are in? I'm kicking around a similar build in a 125 gallon aquarium, but I want to ensure they've got enough water to be happy. It will be 15-20 gallons for a small group of them, but it may only be 12-20cm deep.

Sorry to hear, my Parakeet died 3 years ago, exactly 2 weeks after i got her for 10 years she sadly passed away. I would have loved to know about paludariums back then, i would have build one in a heartbeat.

Amazing. Trying to see how you made the basin for this biotope. How in the world do you maintain it, elevated above it with a zip line?

What fertilizers do you use, how much of it, how do you apply it and how deal the fish with it? I want one, too, now that I've seen yours! ;-)

The canaries don't live in it. It is just an open paludarium where they can fly in to i gues. I do wonder how many times the canarie flew against the windows.

Does the bird live in the tank or in a seperate bird cage

are all those tiny bubbles coming from the plants??
@ArmandsKoncus11 жыл бұрын
Kronikwookie That's because lighting is very strong (4x80W) and CO2 is added (2-3 bubbles per second).

Those Puffers are brackish water fish! They won't do as well in fresh water as they would in brackish water. I hope you're adding aquarium salt in there.

You are wrong! Dwarf puffers (Carinotetraodon travancoricus) are 100% freshwater species.
