Also:Being in that grave really gave him no leverage to get out, being that he was lying about 8-10 inches below the surface of the ground in soft, damp soil. Then, he had another problem on his hands: Aunt Bedelia's body, which pinned him in on the left side of his body. The soft earth caused the base of the Grave marker to shift, and the Headstone, which was situated on the base, was loose. It was a perfect death trap for our poor Henry... oops! I mean, "Hank"! One other thing:The weight of the Headstone, even with "Hank" laying directly beneath it on soft ground, still had enough weight and power to crush "Hank" immediately. Death was instantaneous. Bye bye, "Hank". I'll bet you wish now, that you'd never gone hunting for Dotty Old Aunt Bedelia. Oh, that's right...you can't wish that now... because you're dead!

FINALLY! Somebody else that's on here commenting about Hank being pinned down by Aunt Bedelia's Corpse...and making sense! Some of the people that get on these sites, and think that Hank has any kind of a chance of survival, with him being pinned down by Aunt Bedelia, as well as being in very soft earth, need to have their head examined! I see that you, however, are one of the smart people, and I strongly commend you for that! I wonder-If any of these dummies that get on here, & post remarks that make themselves look to be about as smart as an Amoeba, were to have been in Hank's shoes-Would they have survived? I don't think so!
