Quick note for anyone who doesn't know: Using my knowledge in English and French, I can decipher that the game's name is, as I've been told, not Spanish, but Latin for "unknown land." I was able to figure this out because terra is very similar to Terre, which is French for Earth or land. Incognita's pretty obvious, though.

This is going to sound really stupid, but I'm going to say it anyway. Before I knew what thus meant, I thought it was the name of the boy from Secret of Mana. I think it was from reading the back of the cardboard box the game came in, which had a paragraph involving, "Thus, a hero would appear." or some shit like that. I asked someone else what to name the girl and the midget, and Thus, Amber, and Grain would appear. The hell of it is, that turned out to be my save file with super duper ultra hyper level 99 characters with maxed out everything, constantly spamming those super versions of those spells that ceased all movement until the spells were complete. Fucking Dark Force assplosions everywhere! And Thus had maxed out every single goddamn weapon skill and went around doing fight choreographies on that long horizontal hallway just before the room that teleports you to Buffy the Vampire. And I had maxed out almost all weapons, and had power suits and fairy robes and crowns for everyone! The only thing missing was a fucking griffon helmet! DAMN YOU BEST LEVELS EVER #4!!!!

Also, during that intro sequence, I thought you were going to focus on the crap graphics. Not only do our characters lack necks and move like they were on rails, but there are obvious clipping issues everywhere, with flickering hairlines and a moment at 1:01 where it looked like the ship was getting flooded. Not to mention the ship’s deck very obviously clips through its side during the game over sequence.
