I absolutely love this idea for a series! I loved the 'When you see it' pictures, I have SO many of those saved! And that alien you thought was hearing a farmers hat, I saw a lady sorta from the 1920s in a hat, leaning out of a window.. anyways I completely agree with you on screamers! they changed me; I used to have to watch any suspicious videos at an angle through squinted eyes to reduce the effect of any screamer faces lmao I used to really like the Dumb and Dumber film when I was a kid, so when my dad showed me a video on KZbin that showed there was a 'ghost' in the background of one of the scenes in the film I was hooked. Of course, there was no ghost in Dumb and Dumber. It was one of the first screamer videos I remember seeing. And that one absolutely stuck with me. My dad was always showing me screamers and weird stuff on our old family computer, and I used to love looking at all weird and scary stuff as a kid when, as you say, I was probably a bit too young for it lol. Another video I distincly remember watching when I was young was 'Ghost Pictures Show' on KZbin and the music literally used to keep me up at night. So all these things brought back some good memories! One website I get nostalgic for and remember frequently going to in around 2007-2008 was ManiacWorld .com, which had a 'scary' section. You need to access via the Wayback Machine now. I can't seem to link it due to KZbin comment restrictions, but it used to have a screamer when the page loaded that I think is broken now on the Wayback Machine :/ that had some pretty weird and spooky videos on there that ooze that 2000s internet horror vibes. I particularly remember the Robot Girl video on there, that isn't that scary really now I look back, but that used to petrify me as a kid lmao. I think it's the music... Edit: It seems the videos don't work on ManiacWorld anymore, for me at least! I know you can find them elsewhere though, like the Robot Girl video - complete with original music that used to terrify me as a kid - is called 'Repliee R-1 Androide' here on KZbin !

Hey, Librarian. I got really into these two vids about Creepy Internet Nostalgia and I really miss it, too. There was a site where I used to go to in middle school called SFOGS where I believe it was a Filipino-based site that used to report "ghostly" pics like the first video of Creepy Internet Nostalgia, although some pictures had a "WARNING!!!" label on them if they had an extra trick to them. Seeing this kind of content makes me really happy, I thought I was the only one really hype about old creepy stuff on the internet, heck even thinking about Smile Dog or some stuff about AlbinoBlackSheep is making me nostalgic. Time really is something that whizzes by. Hope to see more stuff like this where we take a look at more oldies, I was really fond about how you described everything + how much you talked about your experiences with it! Cheers.

I can definitely understand why you thought that was a hat because looking at my phone right now I thought so too it makes a lot of sense because those mid-2000 PC monitors had really low pixelated resolution so fine details like that would get a little abstracted in your mind

i remember the first screamer but it had a different ending. it was a brown burned looking corpse and it jumped up at the screen with his mouth wide open with his hands placed up like he was holding his hands up for the cops. it was far scarier and actually made me cry as a child but ive never found it again since. also one when you see it image i remember from that era was one of the singer hayley williams from paramore making a face whilst driving in her car but the back image was blurred (due to it being night time and they were driving) you can see an angry man in the next car over making a face at them like he is yelling. it got passed around obviously amongst the community because i dont think even she knew about it and it always made us fans wonder what happened lol.

Even to this very day, there is something so viscerally terrifying to me about the Linda Blair jumpscare, even just seeing the picture of the face is enough to give me a little spook because it legitimately traumatised me as a kid hahaha But yeah, I remember too well 2007-2009 KZbin just being absolutely full of jumpscares to the point where literally every other video was a screamer. I used to systematically scroll down to the comments for every video I watched and only stopped doing it maybe 6 or 7 years ago lol Good fucking times...

I remember there this one video, for the life of me I can't find. Me and my brother were just browsing youtube, I was probably 7. I searched up something like 'Dinosaur' and I think it was some shitty 3d trex animation of it roaring, for some reason there was a screamer at the end. It scared us so bad that we stayed outside for the rest of the day.

Flashpoint is a project that preserves flash games and media. It does indeed include a lot of those jumpscare games. I truly recommend looking into this, its always a huge nostalgia trip playing thru old flash games for me

The first screamer I encountered was back on some old video game forum 15 years ago. It must have been one of those, "Whoa, look at this totally real secret I found guys!" kind of posts. They posted a link, and me being gullible back then, clicked the link. It lead to a page with a yellow back ground and a single image of a grassy valley with hills and hot air balloons floating. A few seconds later, before I knew it, a full screen screamer popped up! It was some weird red zombie-like face.

2 years ago i was searching for answer for my homework. I have to write fraszkę (Polish) i know thetranslation to english. I came up on a website with a couple of answer, but then spiders where falling from top of screen. When they fell on a ground they died.
