I'm always disgusted by the trope of brothers being "over-protective" of their sisters. Like, it says more about your choice of friends if you can't trust them to treat your sister right. These brothers have no right to police their sibling's dating as if they have a reason to be worried. In stories like this, the sibling rarely ever shows poor decisions in dating to justify their brother's worrying. The brothers in these situations always sound like they want to sleep with their sisters

Honestly, it makes me think of toy agression in dogs. Depending on how a dog is trained, they can exhibit toy agression, where they will hoard any "favourite" toys, and attack anyone who tries to take them, even if it's for something simple like repairing or washing it. Treating their sisters like this makes it feel like they're objects to be hoarded and not shared. It's obsessive and disgusting.

just about right, I was especially infuriated about the episode where a girl was embarrassed about her disabled brother and said sorry after she realised he's only that way because he saved her. So if he didn't save her life she would have still been embarrassed which isn't a good message after all, I have a disability that I was born with, as do many people, I don't need to do something special to be treated like everyone else

I just now started the video, so I don't 100 percent see where this is going, but if possessive older brother ends up being right, I am going on a mission to rescue every woman Dhar Mann knows. I've got a bad story that lines up with the theme of this one.... I guess I'll add this to be safe... *Trigger warning* My brother did a lot of fucked up things(still does, just not to me) For 20 years he swore I lied. My life was a giant he said she said that the parents chose to believe their 'perfect little angel' could never do those things He's become a drug addict over the years.. 1 year ago, In a drug fueled rant, in front of everyone, at a family Christmas gathering, he screamed *I ONLY DID THOSE THINGS TO PREPARE YOU FOR THE REAL WORLD* (the fight started on why I wouldnt ever allow my son to be alone with him and I TRIED to say stop and it wasn't the time or place but then he crossed a line and the argument got worse from there) He was still screaming but everyone's mouth dropped and he didn't he realize he'd finally admitted it to everyone until he stoped talking and it hit him.
