Uh don’t know the name but it was recent. Oh siyeon also rapped in the first one. Plus siyeon raps in her off time. She enjoys doing it. There are clips for that. Yoohyeon I don’t know of any others but she is able to. And for Handong I don’t know any off the top of my head.

Okay, this is gonna be long. 😉 Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip your spine out when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 *BEcause:* Musically, the song is a fantastic journey. There actually are "cute" parts, but there also are parts where the guitars go full metal. The variations in BEcause remind me of their previous masterpiece, Deja Vu. The bridge with SuA's slow rap and Yoohyeon's adlibs is possibly the most beautiful one they have ever done. About the meaning: According to Dami, BEcause is about love becoming obsession. And also, this is a stand-alone story. They go back to their horror roots, which I really enjoy. One commenter noted that if you look at "BE" as a written Chinese character "悲“, that would mean "sadness". So the song title would mean "The Cause of Sadness". And that would make the lyric "because I like you" to maybe mean "the cause of sadness is I like you". That commenter is Jad Hamizan and he deserves all the credit for noticing that. The video picks up on that. JiU seems to be the puppet master here (or her doppelganger!). She is the one trapping the other members and turning them into puppets, but Gahyeon tries to escape (as you can see by her throwing off the cage right in the beginning). It seems JiU catches her again though, "because she likes her". And I didn't even touch on the references to the movie "Us" yet, there is so much going on. The lyrics are even creepier. SuA sings: "Your expression is blue, blue. Your face is like ocean view.", hinting at strangulation due to the one being obsessed taking things way, way too far. Dreamcatcher are clearly not afraid to tackle the difficult subjects, and they do it masterfully here - again. For me, this is more than just pop, it is art. *Deja Vu:* Deja Vu is nothing short of a masterpiece. It is a beautiful, fragile ballad that kicks your teeth down your throat in the chorus. It is extra difficult to sort out, because it tells the story from two perspectives. You know how even evil people think they are the good guys? This is reflected here. One perspective is Yoohyeon's, who gets corrupted right in the beginning. She thinks JiU is bad (does not want to share power) and backstabs her and kills, imprisons or banishes the other members so that she can rule alone. The other perspective is reality, where we can see JiU be kind to Yoohyeon, but she gets killed for it. It's not exactly a Deja Vu per definition, but I believe this is a commentary on the different perspectives people can have about the same event. *Piri:* I'm running out of skin on my fingers. 😉 Piri is the 6th and last song of the Nightmare Arc, which starts with "Chase me". It is too much to explain here, but if you react to more, InSomnia will! Just one thing: A Piri is a Korean flute that they use here to call for help.

I think there are a few types of piri, but I've always seen in described a double-reed instrument. I'd say it sounds closest to the horn blast at the beginning of the song (though I'm pretty sure that's probably just a sample, like the whistle).

BEcause is about Doppelgangers, It is based on the horror movies "Us" and "Dollhouse". Here the Shadows (Doppelgangers) kill and replace the hotel guests and keep them in the Doll Yard as their dolls, to ease their own sadness. The capitalized BE has the same sound as the Chinese-Korean character for Sadness. BE + because = BEcause (of sadness - their MO for killing). The lyrics are all about obsession, sadness, murder and insanity. ("It's blue, blue. Your face is like the Ocean View"). All over the MV we watch the originals being mirrored by their evil doubles. In the end, the originals all disappear and become dolls (like in "Dollhouse"). The Shadows become them in the end. In the first lobby scene we also see that the clothes of the originals are hanging and are being carried over. The hourglass turns and the new hotel guests will arrive soon. The creepy Shadows smile in anticipation. Actually the end of PIRI seems the beginning of BEcause, for some reason. The girls hold the same positions, holding hands (like the Nightmares in that series and "the Tethered" in "Us"). That's yet another mystery, why the connection. Both the Nightmare Series and the Utopia/Dystopia Series have connecting story arches between their respective stories. We can't yet know if the brand new BEcause belongs to a new Mirror story line, or the Nightmare Series. PIRI is the conclusion of the Nightmare Series (Chase Me, Goodnight, What, You and I). The second song in the same album as PIRI is called the Curse of the Spider. Which is actually what happens. They are young witches and the Spider Queen curses them into becoming living Nightmares. And they try to escape since, throughout the series. The first chapter is the prequel Fly High, followed by Chase Me, Goodnight, What, You and I and PIRI. Deja Vu is about unattainable love (symbolized by blue roses) and it's the soundtrack for the video game "King's Raid". So it has to do with that video game story line. The new queen murders the old one, despite the love she had for her. The other story line, the Utopia/Dystopia Series (Scream, BOCA, Odd Eye) is also very interesting, with amazing productions. They are amazing songs with crazy choreography. You should also watch it. And make sure you watch all the choreo and/or practice versions of the songs. Then watch the content by Insomnicy, their appearance in variety shows like Weekly Idol Episodes 497 and 522, and the fan-made stuff, like the 2020 and 2021 Dreamcatcher Guides, to really fall in love with all these supercrazy, superloud, superchaotic, superfunny and supersassy girls (Turn on the captions).

Deja Vu was made for a game called King's Raid. The mv is more of a tragic fantasy rather than horror, which is ofc their specialty. You can find a more detailed explanation of the mv but basically, its story is focused on Yoohyeon (the dark teal haired girl) and JiU (your bias and blonde) and the lost friendship between them (in the story).

Dreamcatcher is one of those bands that their mvs have a storyline. They have a nightmare series & dystopia trilogy. PIRI is the last chapter of the nightmare series. Deja Vu was a collaboration with a mobile game so it has a different story. Dystopia trilogy contains Scream (1rst chapter), BOCA (2nd) & Odd eye (3rd). BEcause their newest comeback is an special mini album like a side story to their new storyline. Since they've finished dystopia trilogy they're about to start a new storyline. Well well well... BEcause is a summer song which is meant to be fun, cheery and bubbly so how could it meant to be creepy.... unless the group is Dreamcatcher.... there is a Korean tradition where you tell ghost stories or visit haunted places so that you can feel the "chills" to fight the summer heat. Officially the song unravels a story of an obsession and longing for love. One theory is that the capitalise BE in the title is used in context as the Hanja character 悲’ (‘BE’) as they sound alike and the word meaning sadness, and the title BEcause could be loosely translate as the cause of sadness, and paired with the line BEcause I like you or BEcause I love you, the sadness is caused by liking or loving someone. Also, the whole creepy toxic vibe is link to the choreography where there is a scene of someone choking another, and the lyrics about "forever mine, even your breath" and then "your face blue...like an ocean view" kind of reflect someone being strangled until the fact turns blue etc. Also, the MV plot theme has another layer that borrowed quite a bit of plot elements from the horror movie "Us" by Jordan Peele where doppelgangers who were forced to live underground depraved of the "finer" things and are trying to are trying to take over their "privileged" above ground counterparts...won't go into much details as it would be better if you watch the movie yourself if you haven't). There are a lot of details in the MV that point to this such as the movie "Us" which has scenes depicting a hall of mirror, someone being captured and replaced, the carnival; similarly the choreography also uses the movie themes such as the doppelgangers holding hand in a chain, the slight side to side head bobs, ending pose of the center member which two hand on her face, mirrored choreography etc.. There are also a few easter eggs for the doppelgangers concept such as the MV is 3:13 minute long (coincidence? I think not) , and that the opening scene and ending scene has the members in completely different outfits (with the ending outfit more whimsical), as well as the completely drain symmetrical hourglass at the end indicating that at some point, the doppelgangers replaced their original counterpart. More impressively, musicality, it plays into the theme of opposite doppelgangers where there is a two part chorus (whimsical and cute, and a more rock follow up) and two part bridge (soft vocals followed up by a deep spoken rap with atmospherically vocals behind) trying to show this mirror duality.

Dreamcatcher fans are called Insomnia because we're the only ones not sleeping on Dreamcatcher. Piri is a flute or pipe type instrument; they aren't leaving because this is at the end of the very long Nightmare story, they are trapped, it's an emergency, and they are calling for help (it also allegorically touches on suicidal thoughts). Deja Vu is a song about not letting go of that painful memory, getting deja vu every time you start thinking of it again. The story in the m/v is roughly they were all friends, Yoohyeon betrayed? them (the Last Supper imagery in all friends flashbacks), JiU was going to punish her but lost heart and didn't, Yoohyeon totally killed JiU and that is the painful memory she can't let go. BEcause is a song about obsession disguised as affection, ugliness dressed up as beauty. Apart from the Us metaphors, all through the video they're trying to look pretty but it's just a little off. The marionette choreo, Siyeon's grotesque 2:12 etc. They are using their zombie training to give inhuman looking movements to the fullest. Yeah, they did a special clip zombie version of one of their songs with the make-up crew from Netflix's Kingdom.

Deja Vu is a collaboration with a fantasy based mobile game and the game story centered around themes of sacrifice, corruption and betrayal, and not giving up despite the all that (a very simplified explanation which the game story is more complex). In the MV, it is their take on the game story themes and the use of the meaning of Deja Vu (i.e. the feeling that you have already experienced something, even when you know you never have) to tell the story. Basically, there are two main character which is Yoohyeon (the antagonist) which is shown at the start of the MV, and she convert Jiu's (the protagonist) throne; indicated at the start where she sat on the throne and the darkness enveloping her. The usage of Deja Vu is through the various mirrored scenes where Yoohyeon see herself as the "victim"; on the first sword scene, Jiu is in black pointing the sword at her while she is wearing a normal dress lying on the floor. Also, shown in the scenes where she is in the coffin, and Jiu is pointing the sword at her still. However, playing to the theme of Deja Vu, this never happen and the reality is that the opposite happen where in the second sword scene, despite Jiu (n the pretty pink dress) knowing of her betrayal and desire for the throne, throw down her sword, forgive her and walk away instead of finishing her off. However, Yoohyeon (now in black) pick up the sword and backstab her (which shows Jiu is the actual one in the coffin) and got rid of the rest of the members with only her remaining on the throne.

As some already mentioned the most updated full guide we could recommend is the 2021 guide by dreamwolfie. If you want to watch some funny edits and compilations, I strongly recommend insomnicsy's channel. She has the "This is _" series which introduces the members one by one although it's not the most up to date. If you're going to react to their past MVs make sure to do it order bc a lot of them are connected in one storyline! Here's a simple description of each MVs from the 'Nightmare' series. [SPOILER ALERT] Fly High (prequel): Jiu caught a spider in the backyard of their school and kept it in a glass jar, but corrupted Yoohyeon killed it with a magnifying glass which caused all of them to get cursed one by one by the Spider and became a nightmare Chase Me: A ghost hunter (Spider lady's ally) came to find and trap Dreamcatcher inside the 'book' that is linked to each nightmares that the girls represent, but failed Good Night: The ghost hunter managed to trapped some of the girls but the members saved each other by burning the page of their nightmare from the book, and then trapped the ghost hunter inside the mirror afterwards.. the girls then escaped to another place and dropped the book in the forest You And I: Dreamcatcher members living together in a new home. They opened a small photo studio to mess with people's dream/nightmare by using their pictures taken there. but one day a lady came for a photo (which apparently the Spider lady). Out of sudden the Spider lady then transformed and attacked Yoohyeon as a revenge. Jiu who caught the Spider in 'Fly High' knew what's going on and attempted to save Yoohyeon who are currently trapped in the 'Nightmare' realm by performing ritual, but unfortunately Yoohyeon didn't make it to the portal at the end and now she's trapped alone What: The rest of the Dreamcatcher now living apart in modern era. Despite trying to move on with their current life, Yoohyeon seems to appeared often in their dreams as if she's calling for help ,especially for Jiu.. The members expressed their confusion and eager to overcome the nightmare in the lyrics PIRI (ending): While wandering around Yoohyeon found a Piri (flute in Korean) in an empty room. With a hope to reunite with her members again she then use the Piri as an SOS call. Right after she blow the Piri ,all of the members are summoned and now entered Yoohyeon's realm ,but in order to meet Yoohyeon each of them have to overcome their nightmare trials.. The members then eventually reunited at the end, trapped together in the 'Nightmare' P.s - Dreamcatcher's Japanese MV 'Breaking Out' can be used as an alternative ending as well

Deja Vu is actually supposed to be an intro song for the mobile game Kings Raid, the mv was funded by the game and the story is inspired by the storyline in the game. Also Piri is a korean instrument shown in the beginning i believe, its the flute-y kinda sound youre hearing through the song. I also suggest you watch You and I, Chase Me and Scream.

Then for the storyline first start of watching their songs in order so for the nightmare series it should be Chase me to Piri So here is the order Chase me Goodnight Fly high You and I What Then Piri then watch a guide to explain. I was looking but i didn't see any explain it unless I missed it. but Piri is a part of Dreamcatcher's nightmare series where each of the girls represented a different nightmare in the video the girls are continuing from the last video "What" to save Yoohyeon(Pink hair) from being trapped in the nightmare but the girls are separated and are experiencing there their own nightmares. Idk who exactly is kidnapping the girls in the video but I was watching a theory saying it was Yoohyeon herself because she wanted to get them all together. At the end when they are holding hands that's them going to face the nightmare together. There is an alternate ending in the video "Breaking out" where they actually beat the nightmare. I can link the the video where some one explains the whole series if you like.
