Thanks for the video. It was very helpful for someone like me about to jump into my first mobile project with React Native having zero knowledge of native development and javaScript.

#DevsOnACouch Do I need a Node Js knowledge base after learning React Native for the backend?
@rb93215 жыл бұрын
yeah you should have mentioned React Native Web , as it is a deal big enough to replace React.js with react native

"React is a Javascript Framework" Well, it's a library, not a framework. Framework lets you put code somewhere. It calls you. Library gives you the control of putting it everywhere you want. You are in control. I had kind of the same experiences with Native as well, but I found it hard and there is almost no documentation or help. I had no idea how I could implement an alarm setter and was instantly blocked in my development. The different tabs and views were kind of a headache for someone like me that only did React/Angular

if i want to build and app that can be seen in the browser and on mobile and i don't need heavy phone features like access to accelerometer or touch stuff should i stick to reactjs?
@Cremalab5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that sounds like a great opportunity for a PWA built in React! You'd get basic access to app-like features while still retaining the flexibility of a responsive web application. Hope it helps!

Devs on couch, react is a library, not a framework. There is quite a substantial difference between lib and a framework. Come on :)

Are React and React.js the same thing? I've seen both terms used interchangeably implying they are the same. In other words, is React just a shorthand for saying React.js? Thanks cause I'm confused.
@Cremalab3 жыл бұрын
Yes they are the same thing.

my senses tell me to leave react native learning where it is , and start learning flutter... good point is my feelings never lie , bad thing is dart language is same as javascript
@nobytes25 жыл бұрын
dart is no where near javascript, its syntax is horrible I didn't like it at all and I know js, python, c++, php, java, etc. The other crazy thing is that a simple hello world creates a huge file in flutter.

damn i can tell that people doesn't know shit these days... React isn't a framework it's a damn Library for crying out loud. Market too saturated these days with bunch of BS, a day will come that every single programmer, software developer, web developer, web app developer will have their own language, like every person has their own languages.
