Such a beautiful soul. Godspeed, Dear lady. Wish I would have been able to enjoy one of your dishes. Never even been to NOLA. There will never be another like you. My condolences to Ms. Chase's family and to all who loved her.

I am disappointed that the people of that community would loot Mrs. Chase's restaurant when she has been paramount in supporting the community and committed to tradition. This is so dishonorable. Everyone who stole from her should bring everything back and apologize.

Alas, some people have no shame. Hit somebody when they're down. A shameful quality to some people.

You can only speak if you were in the position. At that particular point in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, survival was not a crime.

If anyone wants to see a white creole, google the current mayor of New Orleans named Mitch Landrieu. Creoles can either be white or black. But they both have the same culture and cook the same food.

They looted Dookie Chase? How sad to take from your own people.
