I love Geno Delafose his style is so much more different than that of other contemporary zydeco musicians out there, its more traditional and deeply connected with his Creole heritage plus I love the fact he still sings in Creole (like his dad used to do) which is sadly so rare these days...

Good sound quality! And of course the best music genre! :) Search John or Geno Delafose for more like this.

One place to check is the Blue Moon Saloon in Lafayette, Louisiana. Geno Delafose often plays there. If he isn't, then they usually have other Cajun or Zydeco musicians playing. Also, Cafe des Amis in Breaux Bridge has live Cajun or Zydeco music on Wednesday nights. Also check La Poussiere in Breaux Bridge!

@Dieudonne357 you must think i am not from this state right? For one i lived out in the SW for a while when i met a girl from Eunice. we later moved to Lafayette i worked for Oceaneering. I yearned for the deep south while i was there. Most people i met around me were cocky smart ass and full of them selves. Cajuns who couldn't make a roux to save their lives and couldn't cook a good Courtbouillion.

@qmac10 The real Cajun/Creole/Arcadian/French-Creole are all over the great state. You can't miss a one, stop in any truck stop mon ami and ask there. New Orleans, my friend, is but one touch of the fine south that makes up this great state. Go with some nice Jumbalaya, don't mess around with too much if you're not used to alot of spice. Don't touch the boudan if you're not real southern.

@Dieudonne357 i am not trying to be rude either. Yes i met some good old cajuns in that area it was rare . But it is over run by spoiled whinny people mostly. It like new orleans nothing is cajun about new orleans. bunch of city folk who would cry if they saw a nutria rat. I am from thibodaux aera a place called chackbay louisiana.
