What to say about Michalis Tzouganakis. He must be one of the five best lute players in the whole world at the moment. His singing is extremely passionate without being cheap. By far my favourite Cretan musician (alive!).

I watched him last saturday in Dalaras concert in Istanbul. He took stage as an associate of Dalaras. It was very good. Mihalis is a very talented intrumentalist and a good singer as well.. He was literally playing games with Oud and Bouzuki

I saw a segment on Crete(not this KZbin though) on a show called GlobeTrekkers..It was featuring Greece mainly. The Crete part was interesting and the music was beautiful and a bit haunting. It was telling about the cemeteries made after WWII too.
