São Miguel Island 🇵🇹 Drone Aerial 4K 2024 Sao Miguel | Azores Açores Portugal

São Miguel (or Sao Miguel, 2024) is the largest and most populated island of the Portuguese Azores Archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean between Europe and the Americas. São Miguel has a population of 150,000 of which 50,000 live in the capital Ponta Delgada. The capital has an impressive fort of São Brás and a 16th century Gothic Church (St. Sebastian). Moreover, the historic centre of Ponta Delgado is beautiful. São Miguel is also nicknamed as Ilha Verde or the Green Island. The island is known for it's nature, especially the Volcanic Crater Lakes Furnas, Sete Cidades and Fogo and the whales in front of the coast.
