I lived and worked, off and on, in Crete between 1996 and about 2001.. I try to go back there as often as I can and plan to go back there even more.. of all promo clips, I look back on this one over and over as it genuinely captures so much of what I loved, and now miss, of such an amazing place.. love it!

@@tobiasboston7795 There are no Cretan Muslim Groups. Cretans, as every other Greek are either Atheists, Agnostics or Christians. Those the guy who talks about were Syrians who lived and worked in Crete for a while and some went back while they could talk Greek. They brought with, in some small specific neighborhoods of Syria the Greek culture they acquired. This way before Syria was ruined.

​@@Gyneco-Phobia What about all the Muslim Cretans that left after the population exchange with Turkey in the 1920s? We like the rest of Greece were under Ottoman rile for 400 years. (Crete for 200 years less because of the Venetians but you get the gist. Some Cretans converted to Islam just like Greeks did. As the opposite also happened with Turks converting to Christianity (although less common)
