Crews scramble to repair damaged roads in Rancho Palos Verdes ahead of storm

Repairs crews are working feverishly to fix a road that is collapsing due to weather damage on the Palos Verdes Peninsula as another storm bears down on Southern California. Mary Beth McDade reports for KTLA 5 News at 10, Feb. 29, 2024.

Hey, my steet has not been repaved in over twenty years and we PAY for that in our property taxes. We have potholes as big as swiming pools out here. Who do I send my vehicle repair bills to for ruining my suspension? Hmmm?????

This slide area has been known of for decades. There should be an extra tax on the homes in this area to pay for managing the slide everyone knew was going to keep happening.

All the homeowners living on the slide need to have their houses condemned, removed, and the area turned into a park. It won’t matter if that park falls into the ocean.

Don't give these RICH people a DIME of our tax money to use to repair their own neighborhood!!!! How dare they ask for money from satte of the emergency funds!!!!! Fix your own!!!!! You CHOSE to live there, knowing this could happen one day!!!! Sheesh!!!!

Why bother pouring in good money after bad? The geology and precipitation are going to do what they're going to do. And gravity is here to stay. Stitch piers, floating foundations, drilled piers, French drains . . . none of those will make any difference in the long run.

Pretty funny and shows the amount of over regulation in cities that the city itself needs an environmental impact study before they can do any work.

Help? No you need a new place to live, that whole thing is going to come down before too long. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣These Folks are all Uber Wealthy, we should no be providing Tax Dollars to support their Fabulous Homes with Oceanside Views, they should be paying for it themselves.

@@devengudinas1649 I lived in Hermosa Beach for 12 Years and worked as a Pharmacist on the Hill quite often and believe me I know exactly how rich they are. The Hill has a shitload of Money on it. I also worked in Brentwood and Century City and they are right up there.
