CRF 250 Rally - Dumaguete - Bacolod and back

2 day trip from Dumaguete across the island of Negros to Bacolod City and back. Mostly paved roads but scenic mountain views and twisties galore.

i passed that road from san carlos to mabinay sometime in aug 2018 and the road works is still 50% ongoing..hopefully done by this year

we just got back from going from duma to bacalod to went back through san carlos and down.. that road on east side really was not a good idea.

Maybe I got lucky but I actually enjoyed it more than the Kabankalan route. With a car it must be quite annoying due to all the one way sections.

I needed a break every hour or so. 2up is possible but you should really upgrade the shock for that, especially if you also carry luggage. Its great offroad. for 90 road and 2up I'd suggest you also look at the Cb500x or ktm 390 adventure. Both are more comfortable and also have a lower seat...

How does the CRF handle the step slow climbs like the last section going up to twin lakes?

Cory Risseeuw 1st gear is very short, the bike goes up anywhere like a tractor.

2 hours seat time max, then it's definitely time for a break. I'm fine with that. Yep I'm in Dumaguete.

David Fleet I bought it here in Dumaguete (Du Ek Sam) when they had one in their showroom. Not sure how long it would take them to get one delivered now. Might be quicker to get it from Honda in Cebu city yourself...

High maintainance ba yung CRF kahit sa city lang gamitin? Plano ko kasi kumuha kaso iniisip ko baka high maintainance

The Crf250l models are generally very low maintenance, I think that doesn't change much with city use.

Indeed, it's a really fuel efficient bike. My KLX150 consumes about the same, and has little more than half the horse power.

So is my xtz 125cc just around 35km/l . I will buy the rally this june hopefully. I'm 5'7 do you think lowering the front forks up to 1.5inch would work? Bdw i love watching your videos. Do more trails please. Haha

Ryan Javier Cabo I have no idea about lowering. I am 6’ / 75kg and can flat-foot it even with upgraded suspension and taller tires. Don’t think you’ll have to lower it that much.
