CRF-300L ECU and Airbox Upgrade Ride and Thoughts

Just got back from vacation and swapped to the 550 Performance ECU upgrade for a full exhaust, Airbox mod and 91 octane. Also put on 550 performance Airbox lid to allow for more air. Have done about 50 miles since the upgrade. Bike is performing a lot nice and is about perfect in my opinion. Only thing left to do is suspension upgrades.

Did you do the 550 91 Stock Improved or the stage 1 ECU? Everyone has a different opinion on how loud the yoshi is, what are your thoughts? I went with the k-tech rear shock for 210-245 lbs and the bike is way better both on and off road. I would recommend it.

I went with the stage one. The Yoshi is louder than stock (obviously) but not so loud to be annoying. I love it. I ordered Ohlins, and of course the front kit is back ordered. I put Ohlins suspension on my Grom-so I kinda wanted em to match. Race tech was my next choice. Once I do the suspension I think she’ll be perfection.

Have you always been able to lug it at low RPM or is because of the ECU upgrade? I just got mine in the spring and it would not be able tractor around at that RPM without stalling. 😄 I've done more non-performance upgrades and a re-valve on the suspension, next year I'll consider the ECU/Yoshi upgrade.

Most of that time, I should have down shifted (aka been in a better/proper gear). But she’s always trugged along decently. Before the ECU mod as well. But the mod definitely helped.
