We talk about the suspension upgrade to both the CRF250l and the Rally. WE discuss how the upgrade changed the feel of the suspension both on the road and off the road when we took the CRF250l and the Rally out for their first real test since being fitted with the Hyperpro set up.

Great vid as always guys. Literally just arrived in the Lakes for a weeks hiking. Your vids make me wish I’d ridden the 250 Rally up but it took 8 hrs in the car so in some ways I’m glad I didn’t! I’ll be looking to upgrade the suspension once my bikes out of warranty and your vids will help massively. Keep up the good work.

I’m going to do this upgrade to my CRF250L. I have the Hyperpro springs on my AT and there amazing.

I have the Hyperpro rear on my 250L defo eliminates the sag. love the feel but now I'm on tipi toes at a stop but worth it...............👍

I don't think I've known a bike like the CRF for upgraded parts, every single component can now be upgraded and with the new 2024 300L & rally there will be even more, you can buy a CRF and keep it for life and just keep upgrading things as new parts turn up, thinking of buying a 3ooL, the rally is Ok but I like off-road bikes as light and nimble as possible, mind if I can find a 250 engine to go in my rockhopper I will not bother with the CRF, the rockhopper is so light and fun off-road it reminds me of when I had a TL in the 1970s, just very basic and good at doing what it does, it is a Honda after all,

I have a Honda CRF 250 L and I live in the United States. I have been considering doing an upgrade on my suspension but I’m not sure. I’m a new rider and I’m a bit worried the stiffer springs will compromise my safety. I watched both of your install videos and then this one and I really appreciate you guys sharing your experience. I consider you guys “regular guys“ which is much more relatable to me than all of the salesman, experts and bike shop dudes that post videos on this stuff. Being in the US, I think the Race Tech springs are going to be more affordable to me than the Hyperpro. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Having seen a CRF on the trails before and after an upgrade (I did ride it pre upgrade and it was awful) the bike now sits better, rides better and the owner was chuffed with the results that a spring or 3 can make. The OE system IMHO is unsafe and fails to control the suspension well at all.

@@RustyVanDoor Thanks for adding this comment. The fact that you feel the OE is unsafe makes me feel better about upgrading. I’m a big heavy guy and because of that the suspension starts out at a disadvantage

Hey guys, I have the YSS rear shock, not done the forks yet but I’m not sure I like it? I’m planning on getting the fork spring replaced soon and hope that makes an improvement. I think at the moment the rear has a really firm feel while the front is really really soft! So to anyone planning this upgrade should definitely do the shock and forks at the same time.
