CRF450L + Single Track

Dual Sport BC hosts their annual club ride and I join in with some friends to ride some greasy single track.

How much of the video after the big hill climb was the dual sport route?

Everything after I finished that track (about 15:15) is the proper route. The road I come out on went down a couple hundred meters and connected with the road we were supposed to be on. A couple minutes riding back uphill and we found the half of the group that went the right way.

It's 24fps.

@@2DreamGamers My choice of frame rate is intentional. I worked as a photographer/videographer in advertising for 25 years and I have spent the last 7 years working on film sets as a camera crane operator. I am intimately familiar with the effect of frame rates and shutter speeds on the look of footage. 🙂 I like the look of 24.

@@2DreamGamers No worries. A lot of the people I ride with prefer 60 because they say it looks crisper. But, it's not the frame rate that make the shots crisp, it's the shutter speed. Action cameras default to a shutter speed of twice the frame rate or higher so shooting with a frame rate of 60 fps sets a shutter speed of 1/120 sec or shorter. If you shoot at 24 frames per sec and set the shutter to 1/120 sec you'll get the same degree of "crispness" (i.e., amount of motion blur) as you would shooting 60 fps @ 1/120 sec. But I prefer the longer shutter speed. I like the motion blur to blend frames. Also, from a technical stand point, shooting at 24 frames/sec makes a smaller file and also keeps the camera from over heating in the summer.
