A weekend of adventures in Snowdonia.
A solo hike of Pen Yr Ole Wen for sunset and FINALLY Crib Goch at sunrise, lead by the awesome Dave (find him on Insta @thedaverave_hikes or Facebook: / exploringnorthwales ) - we got the most insane cloud inversion!
Such an incredible weekend, one of my favourite and most memorable weekends of hiking.

Brilliant video, thank you so much. It brought back a lot of memories of 40 years ago when I was a lot fitter. I only did Crib Goch once and it was foggy. We didn’t realise how steep the sides were until we saw the postcards in the old station gift shop at the top. Many thanks again, Mike in Sheffield.

Have not been on a mountain for 30 years due to severe health problems but like you are doing I collected as many memmories as possible, keep going and keep posting. Had over 200 crossings of Grib Goch but the most beautiful and memorable was above a red tinted inversion (could not resist your video when I saw Crib Goch and inversion in the title) I can guarantee that that is a memory you will have for decades. My memory also included emerging from the immersion on Snowdon just as, coincidentally a good friend, at that time, emerged from the other side together with his dog. Mountain memories never go away, dont ever stop.

Crib Goch is always an adventure. Some years ago I did this a few times. The Snowden Horseshoe was a favourite. Since retiring though I find that my balance and so my head for heights is not what it was. I loved seeing the ridge once more and being reminded of those exciting times. As you say this is not really a walk to do solo. Keep on enjoying the world out there. Your videos will be amazing to look back on in the future. I would like to see more of your adventures so have subscribed.

Great video as always. I was there on that Saturday as well but I left the car park earlier as I wanted to see the sunrise from the summit. @@searchingfortruth587 and who are you to complain? yes camping is illegal but it's tolerated in some places, take the lake district for example they actually promote wild camping on their website, and I wild camp in Wales a lot and no locals have ever had a problem with it, even if its their land, maybe because like most wild campers I camp on public access land or as close to it as I can, if anything they enjoy coming over for a chat, I have even had land owners come up to me and say it's okay to stay but they are just letting me know they are letting their sheep out soon and they might get a bit curious of the tent, and that is land owners that actually run camping sites on some of their fields but still perfectly happy for me and others to wild camp free of charge on land they don't use or only use for their sheep. And as for mountains they are public access so if a member of public wants to walk/climb up and down then they have every right to whether you like it or not
@michaeleddison6765

@@searchingfortruth587 there are loads of dangerous activities on KZbin, should we not have, let's say kayaking videos incase someone sees it gets a kayak and drowns, or what about football videos cause what if someone wants to give it ago and trips and breaks their neck? And mountain law is not a thing lol mountain rescue may issue advice but that's all it is advice, it's not law and no one has to follow the advice. And as for real law I very much doubt you have never broken a law as the law is very complex and some laws are out dated, apparently its still illegal to hoover your home on a Sunday. And like I said no one has ever had a problem with me camping and i bet the only people that do are people that don't even own the land they just don't like others enjoying the area

Nice one Grace....I know what it's like when the light deserts you...my first time up Tryfan (Christmas Eve 2015) my partner and I started late in the day, and came down the north ridge in the dark, lost our way and somehow, ended up (mostly sliding on our arse) coming down milestone buttress, which as you probably know, is pretty much a full on rock climb! I don't know how we survived. When we looked at it the following day in the light we freaked out. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger! Enjoyed this, your happy, smiley face and sense of humour add a nice dynamic to the usual routes. Subscribed. I've got some nice drone footage of Crib Goch on my channel if you want to see it from a different angle.

Did the Snowdon Horseshoe last year, chose a random day in summer, the weather was amazing! Was going to to the Pyg track initially but decided to do Grib Goch when I got to the split. Probably the the best days hiking I've ever done! The scramble up to Crib summit is fantastic, but the ridge itself is something else! I had perfect conditions and it was totally exhilarating, would highly recommend. It is totally doable solo in good conditions but it is obviously dangerous and a guide is really good advice for a first time.
