People hated on No Mans Sky at launch because the main developer went on the media rounds promoting different things about the game that just weren't true, like that every single person playing was in the same massive universe and could find each other and interact. Instead of bailing on the game though the dev's put out big updates and now everyones appreciating what the game was meant to be. Now you can find and actually play with people.
