In 1 hour interview he never said or agree to any ego boosting word, and given all appreciation to young cricketers and his maturity is unmatchable, Such a wonderful human being he is, also the man of his word..If u observe he never told or commented out of the cricket boundary...Huge respect to him ❤ I think this interview changed my perspective towards the life 🙂 That being said that's why we call him Legend ❤ Also thank you Ranveer for bringing this legend 💥

Ranveer, you completely missed Kapil Paaji's wavelength throughout the interview. You were totally representing the society who just wants to trap this man into that 'Captain of WC 83' mould and this man's relentless attempt to defy this typecaste and show to the world that he is much more multi dimensional. If you look at his life he defines the phrase 'moving on'. He quit hockey to play cricket, quit cricket to play golf, dabbled with politics, wrote a book. But the world just wants to remain stuck to his one achievement when he is a man of many colors. In a world where all of us say meaningless pleasantries, motivational words and corporate jargon, its such a breath of fresh air to see Kapil Sir cut through all of that fluff and call a spade - a spade! Admire him for his bold brass tacks approach. Sometimes the best way to market yourself is to swim against the trend, love it! This should be a good wake-up call for Ranveer to really LISTEN to your guest.

One of the Prime Men because of whom Indian Cricket is what it it today. The way he led the team from the front through everything, inspiring and motivating his team to do better in every moment is the reason why the Team won the 1983 World Cup. His Leadership from the Front was the reason for it. And of course the 175* was truly something else during those times. Kudos Ranveer! Thank you Kapil Dev (Sir) your humility, clarity of life, approach to life and most of all constantly stating there is no one way - there is no one great thing, person achievement or moment , there are multiple of them - all equally important. There multiple ways to look at life…- as we change, our ideals change, the idea of success changes this is inspiring. How to look and behave towards youth and most important- the way you love at cricket as a whole , the way you see leadership - such a brilliant answer. It all matters how one looks at life and how well we know ourselves. Grateful that we get to hear you and your thoughts! Thank you Sir!

Since the Television set entered our home in 1978, I did have the opportunity of seeing many cricket matches. I remember seeing Bishen Singh Bedi. Kapil Dev, Gavaskar, Vengsarkar and many others play. I vividly recall the 1983 world cup, the brilliant finals, the Audi given to Ravi Sashtri and the fun they had after winning the match. I have a small bat with all the 1983 world cup players sign embossed and a ball with Kapil Dev's sign embossed. It was a gift I received at that time. Kapil used to come and he would bang the ball all over and get out pretty fast too mostly, after setting the scoreboard on fire. And all those news snippets and articles that came in the newspapers and news magazines like Sports world etc. One thing Ranveer found is that the man is still a tiger. How ruthlessly he commented that why are you searching out the "all rounder" in phases of my life? The most important lesson, learn to move on in life and enjoy the life you are having now, than living in the past. "live life". Do things. Do not get stuck. & respect other's opinions. Stand your ground and let the other person stand their ground too. This interview ignited such fond memories.

As big of a player he was in his times today he showed how low character he has....he was the one who was saying to replace Virat with Deepak Hooda who isn't even 1% of Virat during his bad phase but today he is taking stand for Babar Azam( player who is overhyped just bcz of his stats against B/C teams) by saying don't look on current performance and look what he has done to your cricket team👏👏
