Cricket Mods 2019

Here are some additional mods I have made to the cricket since my last video.
1) LED lighting running off my 12 volt system
2) Installed a MaxxAir fan for ventilation (Had to cut a 14" hold in the roof)
3) Additional pull out deep drawer that hold all of our pots/pans and dishes along with all of our zip locks and aluminum foil. Makes it easy to get the very back items.
4) Installed some baskets to hold additional food items or items we want to get to more easily
5) Installed a small pull out drawer into an unused space.

The vertical space on the left is for a two burner camp stove. Nice job on the fan and lights. Any leaks or all is well?

No issues with any leaks from the fan after three years. Haven't inspected it lately though so thanks for the reminder. Also thanks for letting me know what the original intent of the space on the left was for. Can't say I like that idea though. With the fridge in place it would be tough getting it in and out of there. We keep a 12 volt fan and a collapsible cooler there now and have the campstove strapped down to the counter when moving.

*Nice job on the drawers, they look 'factory original'* *(Having an extra fan is 'good thing' when it's 'hot as Hell' or drying spills on the floor or whatever)* *I wish I had a 'Cricket' myself but I just don't have the $$$$ for a 'present for myself', although I see some 'Buys' are on Ebay currently, so maybe I'll get lucky and win with a 'Lotto' scratcher!*

Some great ideas you have implemented Dave - thanks for sharing them. Perhaps something like a collapsible closet organizer or two above the countertop suspended off some tubing or tensioned wire. Would alleviate rummaging through the below countertop space all the time for things on site and when packing up for travel just stow all those things from in them back down there and lower the top

We stayed in many a Walmart and rest area and always pop tent part. We have the same fridge...it’s the best. I love the drawers. And the fan. Great job!

How difficult was it to cut and install the fan?

Sorry to not get back to you sooner, I've been out of town and am just now getting caught up with emails. It was pretty easy to cut the hole for the fan. I have a battery powered Ryobi Sabre saw that I used. Just have to make sure that you don't get it too close to the side or middle because the inner trim piece on the maxair needs about an inch extra clearance all the way around. I think I drilled holes in all four corners then used the Sabre saw to saw out the opening. Getting over the fear of cutting a big hole in the roof of my beloved camper was the hardest part .
