People wants to see performance. Indian Football must perform without any infrastructure or good coach or whatever excuses they give and stop crying about lack of audience. Face the reality that people will only support something where they see improvement, atleast show some without any excuses. People will take care of the rest. In a country like India every citizen wants to see their country representing them in FIFA but the kind of performance India shown us in FIFA qualifier round was a disaster. Losing against a team like Afghanistan was a setback for Indian Football. You can't give excuses like Afganistan's infrastructure is better then ours. With these kind of performance stop crying for popularity. And if we can't play in Football we will make cricket bigger then football with BCCI, IPL and 1.4 billion people (excluding global fans)

If you ask Argentinians to play cricket ,they will but you know how they'll play. cricket is in India's blood just like football is in Argentina's , portugal's, Brazil's and many other nations. I'm not against the football game but you can understand what I'm trying to say 🤔*

Becuase football is much more accessible in terms of equipment and all. You yourself imagine you'll need gloves, leg guard, thigh guard, abdominal protector, helmet, bat, wickets, and whatnot. But, when it comes to football, it's just a simple ball. And like @Filmy Vikalp, I, too, believe cricket is not truly a global sports particularly after hegemony of BCCI in current days. And it's visible in IPL also where you'll find absolute no space for bowlers. It has become an entertainment more than a sport. But, in football you'll forever find an uniformity. Everyone has equal opportunity. You'll never find new rules are coming every single day in EPL, LaLiga etc etc. There are so many other factors as well. Therefore, I believe cricket is nowhere even closer as far as global sport is concerned

I absolutely understood what you intended to speak. I'm not here to argue. Rather, I'm on your side that since we're good at cricket, we should maintain that. I just mentioned why the rest of the world is not that much interested in cricket. And BTW, I think you need to go back to history a bit. The problem comes here. According to you, we Indians are naturally inclined to cricket, which is true, but we have never been inclined to other sports, which might not be true. Rather, before 1983, we were more interested in hockey, and as he mentioned during the 1950s or 1960s, we had a solid football team. But, since we never achieved anything big in football, probably that's why all enthusiasm and all kind of disappeared. In contrary to that, after 1983, the World Cup won cricket started flourishing. Like you said, we shouldn't expect Argentina to play cricket like India. I absolutely agree. But, my friend Argentina has never been considered a cricketing nation. But, India was considered to be a football playing nation. We had everything, but somehow, we lost the status because of the other factors. That's where the pain comes
