I’m hoping my sheltie puppy will like the water as much as Biscuit. None of my other shelties liked the water, except a good hose down 💦 on a hot day. 2 more weeks and I get to bring her home. We had a beautiful sheltie beagle who was so well trained when we got her you could drop the leash and she would stay within 20 ft of you. She was also our traveler and went on lots of trips near and far. I am so glad you can travel with your shelties.

I have never seen a Sheltie that likes water because of their double coat fur, they don't like the dry off time. I think it's amazing that you have a Sheltie that likes the water. Enjoy! So Cute! I have 2 Shelties and just came back from a month long camping trip with them. We camp in a a motorhome so it is more like "Glamping" and the pups even have their doggie beds. We were camping near the Smoky Mountain National Park in the mountains where it was nice and cool. I loved watching your dogs in the lake. However, my Shelties HATE water! I live in Florida and have a pool, and I tried over and over to introduce them to swimming. I even put them on a boogie board, surf board, and swam with them but they hate water. They don't like going to the beach either and my one Sheltie barks at the waves.

Went to Jamaïcan kid resort, Owen, 8, wouldn't go down the slide (reason for going) as tube's beginning was dark only to also refuse going to its beach 🌴 as hubby had shark week on here on 110 cm TV only to then have our daughter, 10, wake up hysterical upon our return, at night due to pin worms' pain only to take her to crapiest hospital 🏥 in the world here (few streets over) and be told by triage nurse they didn't have a gynecological clinic for children there (huh))! Hubby's off hiking soon, I'm staying home with the cat 🐱! 🎉🎉🎉
