By that era itself West Indies has the most competitive 11 I to the team, where the place for another is impossible. In the likes of Wavel Hinds, Chris Gayle, RamNaresh Sarwan, Marlon Samuels, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Brian Lara, Carl Hooper, Darren Sammy, Ridley Jacobs, Mervyn Dillon, Pedro Collins even Cameron Cuffey is 12th member.....even before R.Sarwan there used to be Powell guys like R.Powell, R.Hinds etc. I hope due to his ancestral and basic Indian, developed his gaming skills there, and migrated to his native our India and secured a spot. Had our guys been trained in West Indian, Australian, South African, NewZealandan conditions, none can beat our Indian players (combo of both spin and pace pitches). England who colonized us, we no need to get trained in specific there ...if anyplayer gets trained in all the 4 above nations.

Fast bowlers who coudnt even bowl 2 overs with out sweating and collapsing and fielders who had butter fingers. Oh yea and of course the match fixing scandal not long after all this...nope ..this was one of the worst times. We were average even then except we overachieved in ICC trophies then, aus and Pak thrashed us here bar one game, except Sachin and Sourav the batting line up was average at times pathetic, jadeja and Azhar were a big miss, in particular jadeja who was at his peak, he was probably one of the best middle order batters we had, even after the 2003 world cup we did nothing special in odis, am pretty sure our ranking was like 6th/7th, it changed in 2005 under dravid, we were 3rd ranked in 2006, gambhir, dhoni, Irfan, Raina, sreesanth, rp Singh, peak yuvi and dravids captaincy was the reason for our odi success not ganguly, Sachin, kumble, zaheer whom were all bottlers.

This was the strongest and the best Pakistan team till date...... What a team it was...!! This catch of Rahul Dravid is one of the greatest catches in Cricket's history. Srinath bowled one of the best slow balls & Venkatesh Prasad held his nerve and produced an excellent final over. Sameer Dighe should have stood just behind the stumps, but he stood too far from the stumps which resulted in that run (bye).

1st ball- a fast cutter met at full length by tendulkar and just punched it down the ground past the bowler and some help was offered by the mid off's fielder as well. 2nd ball-This time sachin came close to the pitch of the ball and played a beautiful on drive and the ball nearly took the batter at the opposite end of the pitch with it. 3rd ball-Was a fast delivery angled into sachin and as the left foot came across helped no bit whatsoever, playing across the line has what cost his wicket on that occasion 4th ball-was clearly an off spinning delivery which turned away from th left hander and caught him knicking to the safe pair of keeper's hands. He committed way too early on to the front foot and could have come bit more close to the pitch of the ball and played it lately. A good lesson though.... 5th ball-was a hit me delivery around the batter's 4th/5th stump and batter simply obliged and hit it past the deep third man fielder for a four. Good shot as he managed to find the space and hit the ball past point fielder to begin with. 6th ball- was very wide and as Robin managed to get himself close to the pitch of the ball, hit it in between the covers fieldsman an the mid on inside the 30 yard circle. 7th ball- was a fast off cutter kind of delivery bowled wide and Ganguly just timed the ball past the deep third man fielder for a nice boundary. It was more of an hit me type delivery and Ganguly made full use of it. 8th ball-Clever ploy that from Shoaib Akhtar, bowling from round the wicket, Ganguly might have thought the ball to be coming towards him, but shoaib just manged to bowl an off cutter which eventually knocked Ganguly's stumps over. 9th ball-Fast and angled into the batter's pads and the pace of shoaib was too much for the batter to negotiate and got out LBW. 10th ball-Wild swing to an off spinning delivery and having no slips just helped the battr's cause and got him 4 valuable runs. 11th ball-Shot and wide, hit me to the boundary stuff and Robin just creamed it past the covers fielder for a boundary, poor stuff that from the great Wasim and just goes to show even though one's great, there's no guarantee that you are allowed to be on top and it's all about how you bounce back.... 12th ball-again a bit wide but fuller on this occasion and robin gently nudged the ball past the backward point fielder and the third man fielder could have done bit better by being quick on his feet.A good half century for Robin and a much needed one from India's perception. 13th ball-Clearly a loose shot that, could have played on to the offside instead of swinging the blade across the line for an off spinning delivery, committed way too quickly and if he had taken a fraction of moment or so, things could have been different, wasn't meant to be, I guess? But Robin has to head back to the pavilion after having scored a valuable half century. 14th ball-off spinning delivery, the batter hit it thought he leg side and should have been bit quicker when it comes to running between the wickets and thus gifted his wicket away. 15th ball-slower off cutter ball and Agarkar swung against the line only to manage the ball fall short off the fielder's hands at long on but that was poor running though fro his partner at the opposite end. There's definite two runs there for taking but some poor running cost Agarkar his wicket. 16th ball-was a good delivery right at batter's crease giving no room whatsoever for a batter to play against the line and the ball just snuck past the blade of the batted and bowled him. Excellent bowling that from the master that, caught the batter in two minds whether to play on the front foot or on the back foot. 17th ball- A good ball in batter's perspective as all he did was to come down tbe track slightly to get close to the pitch of the ball and then smoked it past the mid off fielder inside the circle for a good boundary. 18th ball-These are the type of deliveries that batters needs to be wary of as such kind of deliveries looks coming at you only to catch you playing down the wrong line and move away ever so slightly after pitching leaving nothing for a batter to make any last minute adjustments even if he wanted as the batter would have already committed to the shot and only to get either bowled or see his stumps fly and on this occasion, the batter got out LBW. Good bowling by Agarkar. 19th ball-Fast off cutter to the right hand batter, batter just showed his armoury without playing a shot, reckon the ball might have just hit him outside the line of off stump but umpire gave him out and Inzi jas to walk back to the pavilion. 20th ball-Bowled around the batter's legs and the ball got what it deserved-got hit for a boundary down the leg side 21st ball-No footwork, just hard hands on that occasion and the ball was bowled wide awy from being close to the bat and such a poor shot by the batter definitely deserved to be given out and good catch that by the fielder at the point as that ball was travelling at some pace. 22nd ball-the ball was angled into the batter, and the bowler won a battle here as he caught the batter in no man's land. Batter with his soft hands managed to find the tiny spaces with hawk like eyes and earn a boundary for his team😅 23rd ball-was neither a leg spinner nor a googly, just a straight and faster delivery released from infront of the bowler's arm and batter too helped the bowler' cause by planting his foot across. Could've have played with a straighter footwork on the front foot. 24th ball-Full blooded pull shot and a great reflex catch that from the dependable Rahul dravid at short square leg, fantastic catch that and it's Rahul Dravid who has earned that wicket but not the bowler. 25th ball-leg spinner, batter made into a full toss delivery and smashed it over the leg side for a boundary. 26th ball-Again a leg spinner and on this occasion was bit lucky in getting 4 runs as he was swinging down the wrong line trying to play against the spin but manged to get 4 runs thanks to the edge of his willow, bit more turn would've got stumped out. 27th ball-straigher ball with no venom in it and got hit for a boundary thanks to the edge of the batter's bat and having no slips had done no good for the bowler. 28th ball-Again a faster delivery which is more like a slider at the batter's pads and the batter managed to flick it for a boundary by reacting quickly. 29th ball-was a nothing shot that, gentle shot and wide of off delivery, the batter in his quest of playing a cut shot ended up getting bowled....just goes to show that you should watch the ball till the very last moment, the batter didn't on this occasion. 30th ball-Angled into the batter and the ball was just gently run down to the boundary past the keeper for a boundary. 31st ball-Dancing down the track, the batter managed to come close to the pitch of the ball and then hit it down the gtound for a valiant boundary. 32nd ball-On this occasion, the batter hit the ball across the line but managed to get a boundary for having placed in between the deep midwicket and long-on fielders and sourav's pace helped the batter' cause as well. 33rd ball-Lucky as the batter just managed to hit past the the keeper's hands and earned some valuable 4 runs for his team. 34th ball-leg cutter and completely flummoxed the batter who's trying to send the ball deep into the stands but wasn't to be. Only managed to get caught by the keeper and great bowling that by the wildly customer in Srinath. 35th ball-Poor ball and the batter just heaved it past the bowler's head for a magnificent six. 36th ball-Poor running that between the wickets as there was clearly a fielder at short cover and they managed to just sneak a single....only just 37th ball-leg cutter and the batter having come close to the pitch of the ball, managed to hit over the head of mid off fielder and thus earn a boundary for his team....Pakistan are still in it. 38th ball-Faster ball and also short and wide, batter cut the ball past the point fielder for a four, pakistan are hanging in there.... 39th ball-Managed to sneak a single and now pakistan require a single off the last ball.... Some drama here, as the bowler tried to manakd the non-striker but failed to do so and the last ball is coming up.... 40th ball-what scenes are those....pakistanis are clearly elated and indians are disappointed as Pakistan won the match. Coming to the last delivery, it was bowled on good length and the batter missed and so is the keeper in knocking the bails at the striker's end. Sachin even though gathered the ball at the non-striker's end couldn't quite dislodge the bails. Thanks for reading this comment and this is the first time that I tried to describe each and every delivery that's been played. And since then only 40 deliveries were shown, I managed to write for the 40 deliveries and this is quite an experience as I am trying to embark on a new jpurney and learn more about this wonderful game.
