I’m on Apple as well. The curve is grayed out or disabled. How do you enable the curve? All I did was click text, wrote 3 words, and the curve option is gray.

The Curve Tool is only available in desktop versions of Cricut Design Space. It is not visible on iOS or Android. If you select more than one layer, the curve tool will not be available. It only works on a single layer of text.

You need an SVG design 😉 Open Cricut Design Space, start a new project and on the blank canvas click upload - that's where you'll upload your SVG design.

It could be one of several issues: 1) The Curve tool is currently available for the Windows/Mac version of Design Space. It doesn't work on mobile/ipad/etc. 2) The Curve tool will only enable for text boxes with a single line of text; if you have multiple lines of text to curve, enter each line in its own text box, or use the “Ungroup to Lines” tool to move your lines of text into separate text boxes. 3) The Curve tool cannot be used on text that has been ungrouped to individual letters, then re-grouped, so if additional manual letter spacing adjustments are needed after you have used the Letter Spacing tool, wait until you have curved the text to do this.

Hi there, unfortunately not easily. The workaround would be to align the letters across the top of a circle or oval.

Make sure only one text layer is selected. The curve tool only works for text that you type out. If you ungroup the letters and try to select more than one individual letter, you cannot curve it any longer.

Can anyone please say how to customize/adjust text letters size and spacing and not have the align and curve buttons be grayed out? I unGroup to fix weird font spaces in the individual letters of cursive font, and then have this problem. I want to fix the font...and THEN ALIGN and CURVE. I lose all my tools for my text box...and can only get tools back for one letter at a time.

Hey Jennifer, This particular design was already made but you can achieve that by ungrouping your text and resizing the end letters so they are larger ;)
