I’m a new viewer and now a subscriber. You explained this process so clearly! Like you, I usually use a Windows computer, but being able to design on the iPad is sometimes handy. I read the Unicode app reviews and so many couldn’t find their added fonts. I came to KZbin to find a recent DS user, and found you! So I bought ($.99, btw), and it works perfectly. Thank you! Now I’ll go back and catch up on your other videos.

Dalonda, I got character map upw or whatever, anyway, I typed in w and pasted it and got p!!! I did it again & same thing. After a while it became a rectangle box. Any letter i tried, was not the letter that pasted. What am I doing wrong? I need a w and a e for welcome….

Make sure the font you have selected is the same as the font you are working with in the character map.

I love both machines; but if you are unsure and you can afford it, get the Maker.

Great video. I use my iPad more than my laptop only because it is my husband’s computer. I have gone through all the steps but can’t seem to paste the glyph once I copy it. What are you doing to paste it in??

I was using the Apple Pen. I double-clicked on the screen and the option to paste came up.
