Crime prevention is useless without a penalty component.

The americans put literraly millions of people in jail. Yet look at their crime statistics. Thats useless for me

Crime prevention is also useless without a social justice component. Not addressing social inequity and lack of access to services that can drive some kinds of crime is also critical. Desperate people do desperate things.
