Always sunny is the best sitcom besides Maybe curb , they’re both 1a and 1b in my view , ever. Seinfeld broke the mold first but sunny took their formula and made it a little more blue collar and it’s just the best

This is a nigh on perfect 3 minute and 50 second sketch, especially for those who love Seinfeld. When Charlie Day comes in as Kramer I had to rewind and watch that over and over again, cracks me up every time. Jason was powerless against that.

I think it depends on their ability to act. I grew up watching SNL through the 90's and early 2000's. Like when The Rock was on SNL he was pretty much the lead in every skit. Alot of the people they get on here now days I don't feel can carry the skits.

Charlie's a seasoned comedian, so they can use him as the starring role in sketches. Sometimes when the guest is not a comedian, they don't risk putting them in the lead roles of the sketch, but use them as side-characters.

I think they just take a note of the acting range of the host. Adam Driver is a great example of a non-comedic actor coming on as a host. He hosted twice and it was amazing both times.

The SNL props and set design teams are incredible. SNL has some of the best behind the scenes people of any show including makeup, hair, wardrobe, etc.

It's very obvious they're reading off cue cards and Day does misspeak once or twice when he looks away from them. So stop using "looking at cue cards" as a metric for whether a sketch is good or not. That is the format SNL is in out of necessity. And clearly you think some sketches are so good that you don't even notice it. I notice it but i still like it

A lot of great sketches fizzle on the ending, but “Well that’s CSI: Miam- I watch CSI!!” is a phenomenal punchline, haha the only truly ubiquitous reference
