Yes they met a man from crime stoppers who carried a copy of the daily mail(as I.D.) on a park bench and the money in a unasuming brown paper bag was put by the mans feet who picked it up and casually walked away.

Thanks, the Leicester raid mentioned at the start from the Nov 1999 edition was one of the oddest and comical reconstructions just for the fact in how they managed to steal the car.

They don't miss a thing when it goes to giving rewards incase the person is involved in way or another to the crime. And can be charged year's down the track. As there is no statutory of limitations on alot of crime's. CCTV and recording devices are everywhere.. and no doubt that bank manager will be working in with the police.

His name was john duffy ( No,not THAT john duffy).Caught in 2003 after a routine DNA swab taken after a driving offence.Sentenced to 10 years so i suppose he's since been released .

Interesting circumstances regarding the Jean Barnes murder.
