Nick Ross and Sue Cook present. Cases include the disappearance of Anne Lock, the murder of Georgina Davis in Salford and a robbery in Moseley, Birmingham.
I AM MORE THAN HAPPY IF PEOPLE WANT TO USE THESE VIDEOS TO MAKE COMPILATIONS OF MURDERS, ROBBERY, INCIDENT DESK ETC. HOWEVER, CAN PEOPLE NOT JUST RE-UPLOAD THE EPISODES AS IT ADDS NOTHING TO THE VIDEO. I'M HAPPY TO SHARE THE ONES THAT I HAVE BUT IT DOES TAKE HOURS OF WORK TO DO IT. MANY THANKS, AND ALSO THANKS FOR ALL THE KIND COMMENTS.

Poor Kevin Hicks. Just a nice kid doing his schoolwork and listening to music. That was me in the 1980s. It brought tears to my eyes when I saw that he’d gone out shopping for eggs and chocolate for a home economics lesson. Funny how little things trigger people. I looked him up and apparently in 2016 the police decided it was murder, but I don’t think they’ve ever found a body. His parents went to their grave not knowing what happened to him. So sad.

I echo all those thanking the uploader, looking forward to watching the May and July 86 episodes. Just in case anyone was wondering what happened to June ‘86 - well, according to the BBC Genome project (online BBC TV listings since the 1960s), no programme aired that month. As far as I can tell, the only episode now missing from the show’s inception to July 1986 is the March 1985 episode.

I believe Redcard has and every 1980s episode apart from 2 episodes January and March 1985. Hopefully someone has thoses ever episode from January 1990 until June 2004.

Why did Peter Chapman go to Jeans (Georgina) house at 9 pm at night to invite a 72 year old woman out for a drink when he still had to go home shower, change his clothes & feed the dog. Would have given him about 30 minutes to have a drink yet he'd invited company. If you ask me he gave himself an alibi & reasons for himself being at the premises if seen. Banging on the door loudly so she would know it was me huh. probably because the dogs were barking at him as he made his exit. All sounds too suspicious to me.

The Kevin Hicks case is so sad. He was due to have a full reconstruction on crimewatch but it was kicked off due to the Suzy Lanplugh case (a classic example of the media prioritising female, middle class victims). The police now believe that Kevin was murdered that night and that he had been being groomed. One thing we now know is that Croydon back then had a lot of very serious crime problems. It was absolutely crawling with different paedophile groups. It also had serious problems with organised crime, police corruption and a burgeoning drugs problem. Kevin could have got caught up in any of that. They believe his trip to the shop was an excuse to meet someone.

Amazing how many codgers in the comments can't seem to understand why crimewatch on TV isn't like it used to be here. It's because this was getting on for 40 years ago. It's like someone from 1946 watching this and complaint that crime isn't what it used to be. The world has changed, technology has advanced massively, and the nature of crime has changed too. The police don't need to make appeals for witnesses anywhere near as much as they did in the 80s. 99% of the crimes in this episode would have been solved within days if they had happened today.

There were 27 unsolved murders in the UK in 2019, and those are just the ones listed on wiki. I get that with the massive amount of channels, netflix etc etc that viewing figures and thus the likelihood of the programme helping to catch killers are considerably diminished, but I do feel as a public service broadcaster the BBC could have a space for a monthly show in its schedule. Last night 'Stacey Solomon Sorts it Out' was the primetime show on BBC1.....

Thanks so much for these. Do you know of an episode which featured the Hampstead Shamen Juliette D'Souza? She wasn't a Shamen then but was sent to prison for fraud. Her name wasn't D'Souza back then, possibly Vanessa Campbell or Marian Persaud or maybe something else. She's currently in prison for a major fraud. Thanks

Bloke seen before the crime Train station Outskirts of london Bench blocking an entrance Bike Woman not made it home Just points to the railway murderers doesn’t it but it’s mad how at the start of the show they say a pathologist has called in to say the other two cases linked but don’t see how this one would be too On the Martja case, they put a piece of string across an entry, this time a bench and also an old lady saw the man doing a war dance near the station before the murder …. My god, what hindsight gives us

Why do people nick these episodes and reupload them? Retro pixels is the worst for it. People like redcard, chironss, futureisgosub and Ryan Hibbard do a fantastic job of uploading these episodes and gits steal them and add nothing to them.

As an American who's actually interested in other countries/cultures...I take note of how many shires there are in England. I kno they've changed throughout the years, blahblahblah. But it seems..."funny" to me...these shires are so small! And there's so many of them! I guess that's one of the main differences about our geography..."the USA is an ocean!" said L.-F. Céline. My State of Michigan is like...bigger than England.
