Dear mam, can defamation suit be filled againt the author or advocate who has used defamatory words in his written statements in civil suit. And also in writ the adv representing the same client has made false statements before Hon court to obtain interim order in first hearing when respondent was not present. voluminous proof is present to prove that statements are not made in good faith. Thank you

Right to protect reputation and Right to free speech and expression are distinct. Earlier does not superseded later. Actually, the right of the individual is limitations for others' right.
