Ghaddafi invested 85 billion $ in the "man made river" to provide fresh water for irrigation and greening of the dessert, and also to provide water to neighboring countries in Africa. The people of Libya had the highest degree of welfare of any African country. When Ghaddafi said he wanted to trade oil in Euros instead of Dollar, the west engineered a coup. The West (We, the UK for instance), held hands and backslapped Gaddafi when it suited. Then we called him Mad Dog the next second and had him overthrown. Sickening double standards. The Americans, supported by the West, simply HAD to neutralise Gaddafi...Gaddafi wanted to avoid American influence in his oil transactions by using Africa’s own gold. He launched the gold dinar project, and other major African governments were ready to support him in this project. It was both an African dream and a nightmare for the West’s financial system. Imagine that, completely free of American influence. Oil trades that would no longer take place via the Dollar! The objective of this new currency was to divert oil revenues towards state-controlled funds rather than American banks. In other words, to stop using the dollar for oil transactions. Countries such as Nigeria, Tunisia, Egypt and Angola were ready to change their currencies. Unfortunately in March 2011, the NATO-led coalition CONVENIENTLY began a military intervention in Libya in the name of freedom. We know how that ended-up.

I love documentaries but I could help absorbing this tottally biased American product. We all know that whoever dares to defy or go against American/ Zionist rules will be labeled as a terrorist; monster and dictator. Speaking from a total unbiased and neutral pov, i can say the Ghadaffi was a man who had his pros and cons. He ruled his people in the best way he could (at least they had lots of priviliges). What he said in the documentary is true: the real terrorists are American leaders and their European counterparts.
@JDahl-sj5lk5 жыл бұрын
You don't believe he was crazy? Well then, I'd suggest watching all the documentaries about him you can find, only looking at the film evidence, with an open mind, and then decide. I mean, listen to what Gadaffi says himself, and how he appears. Just do that. Then decide. I don't need anyone to tell me Gadaffi was insane, he does that perfectly himself. He started out ok though. Did a lot good in the start. The foreign policy of the US is another matter, and not something I'll defend. That you can't separate the two seems more biased than any documentary.

Fredo Sinsemilla Yeah, And yesterday I forced some Palestinians out of their home just for a laugh. :) It is obvious that Gadaffi did a lot of good. But it’s equally obvious he was a dictator. Under Saddam Hussein Iraq could be argued to be in a better state than it is now too. Both these men ran secular governments. And while I think it was correct to react when Iraq invaded Kuwait, that was not a regime change war like the one that followed. The US foreign policy is heavily influenced by its military industrial complex, which is a major issue. When one sees the result of all these wars, I think the better route would be peace. And when the people living under these tyrants opt for revolution, that is when one could argue whether other countries should intervene to help or not.

Hi, thank you for your comment. Before we make and publish a documentary, our team of experts researches all the facts objectively and in detail. Why do you think there is any western propaganda in this documentary?
@user-ps8ud1tx9b3 жыл бұрын
@@criminalsandcrimefighters Hi! Well to start I listed two timestamps where the commentary from your experts were focused on ridiculing based on their own opinion. The clown music and appearance critiques are not based on facts, it’s based on controlling a narrative. That type of approach is something the West loves doing to leaders they don’t approve of to invalidate their messages. It’s also important to note now this documentary ignored the role the USA had on Gaddafi’s death (only mentioning it once in the last minutes) and briefly blames the current state of their destabilized country on the “shadow of his (Gaddafi’s) evil.” And the lack of mention of the centralized banking system he planned on constructing as the motive of foreign involvement is probably why this is so. There is information this documentary ignores and unnecessary opinions that this documentary includes to make a one-sided portrayal of Gaddafi.

Agreed. The US has had its foot on the rest of the world's neck for entirely too long. Ironically, if we interfered less in the rest of the world, we might have more money to improve the lives of people here at home, without having to raise taxes.

American leaders involved in eliminating him have committed a crime against humanity and are devils in sheeps skin!

Funny the documentary doesn't really mention the fact that Libya is such an oil rich country and the US so oil thirsty, is possible that there is as strong link between Libya's oil and the West dependence for it and the need to get it in their terms?.... mmm. This documentary has some informative pieces but comes across as propaganda to justify the US invasion. No mention of what Gaddafi did in his later years to improve his country and independence of African nations

Exporting?? 😂. Expecting what they stole. He gave free education, money and houses to newly weds. Basic amenities were close to free. He had so much knowledge the west and Europe couldn’t have in ages. Which country in the world gives its citizens free health care, money to newly weds and houses, money for business, free education?? I dare anyone to mention just 1. 😂.

My closest friend's grandfather worked as a ofw in libya as gaddafi's servant, my friend said that his grandpa wasn't abused like other middle eastern families, and instead gaddafi sometimes said his grandpa this, "you filipinos are good and hardworking people thank you for your hardship."
