this is a great video, i have my exam for this in a few weeks😅 Is 3.3 justification, the same as the justification in 3.1 then? I havent been able to understand this for a while now lol

Great question! 3.1 is just your plan where you outline your ideas whereas 3.3 is where you justify why you made the choices you have. So finances for 3.1 you just outline the different expenses then in 3.3 you say why that works and is doable etc . Hope this has cleared it up a bit for you :)

If we are using social media, do we need to purchase a electronic device in order to create an account on something?

Great question! As you are only creating a fake site, it just needs to look like the social media platform it does not actually need to be one. So you can use websites to create fake ones or I just get my students to replicate a FB page with the logo, banner, boxes for write ups and description etc. Hope this helps :)

Most social media's are free to set up (if it was a real campaign) so you wouldn't need to purchase anything. Don't forget you only need to make one social media page with your other items so pick a free one to make it easier :)

Hiya, I’ve done my practice campaign on honour crime but i’m not sure what to do if it’s not in the brief, would that mean i need to come up with an entirely different campaign during the exam?

Yes it would but depending on how your CA is split, you will probably be covering the campaign in the second sitting, so you have time after the first part to come up with some ideas if necessary based on the brief you get. Hope that makes sense :)

Yes you are right, your campaign focus could be one of your aims. Your focus is the main reason for your campaign e.g change attitude whereas you can have multiple aims :)

I have my assessment next week. For my assessed campaign, if they talk about moral crimes but no more info given and I choose vagrancy for example. Can I do a campaign to help the homeless find shelter etc or do I have to do something to stop crime? Thanks

It has to be a campaign for change, so for example changing people's awareness towards a crime. Your campaign sounds more like a charity than campaigning a message. Hope that makes sense :)

If the brief says eg hate crimes (racism), do we have to do it in especially on racism or can it be other different types of hate crimes ?

Good question. Whatever is in the brackets on your brief you have to do so if it did say racism in brackets then yes you would have to do that but most often the crime is not that specific in the brackets :)

I could be wrong but that is my understanding of it. If it says (hate crime) in the brackets you can do any hate crime but if it says (assisted suicide) then my understanding is that is what you need to do :)

You have to pick a crime for your campaign that is mentioned in the brief, it does not have to be the ones mentioned in 1.1 and 1.2 but must be one mentioned in brackets on the brief. Hope that makes sense :)

Hi, you don't do it in slideslow. I get my students to create the items in the word document they have written the other AC's on but you could always use an online site and screen shot the items into the document as well. Hope that makes sense :)

Does it count as plagarism if i copy down what i need to do for these. E.g I wrote down types of material to remember, aims and strategies to rememeber, and what i need to include in my essay like target audience, outline and objective. My teacher told me to write this all in my notes but im scared its plagarism

That would be fine as you are only writing down pointers to discuss that you will then apply to the specific crime in your Controlled Assessment. I think that is a really good strategy to use and we'll done for checking plagiarism as that is so important :)

How are you supposed to link your planned campaign to 2.1 when your discussing campaigns for change?

We advise our students that on their second day of the CA to do 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 and then 2.1 and 2.2 on the last day. This means that they have already done their campaign to link in. Otherwise just go back to 2.1 when you have done your campaign and link it into your answer. Hope this helps :)
