Rumor has it they called it the LCD 2 because they created the LCD 1 which was perfect, it was so perfect that listeners started passing away from the sheer experience of the headphones. The company then concluded it would go broke from lawsuits if it sold the LCD 1's, so it created the inferior LCD 2's to sell to the public. Whispers say they hold the LCD 1's in a hermetically sealed chamber miles beneath the surface of the earth, but a prophecy written on an interns coffee cup speaks of a audiophile who will break in and reclaim the LCD 1's for the sake of a great war in the stars to come!

It's great to see the faces behind the company, this was very informative. Interesting to see how their high volume products are being assembled overseas vs their more premium products. The LCD-2C is one of their best products in terms of price/performance (and in terms of volume of sales). I feel like if any one of their models deserve a big revision, it would have to be that one. It is actually my favorite planar at the sub-1000 price bracket.

I just love Audeze. The build and the sound are just great, but it's important to remember that not EQ'ing Audeze is like not seasoning food. LCD-5 without EQ = garbage, LCD-5 with EQ = my favourite headphone. LCD-X imo is the best of the big four (HD800s, Clear, Arya) and by far the cheapest.

audeze had my interest when i bought my LCD-1's and loved working on them day in day out, they translated so well i was sold at that point. but here's where I turned to hard core loyalty. the LCD-X headphones leather strap stretched to the point it was no longer comfortable and in contact with the metal tension bands. I contacted support to find a link to buy a new one, they had none of that nonsense and shipped a new one to me zero questions asked immediately. great support! but then my old LCD-1's broke at the ear cup twist point after 2 years of 8 hour a day HEAVY use (audio professionals using them for their job). same thing, asked how to fix or repair, they said send it in and they can offer a super heavy discount on a new pair since it was well past coverage and definitely just intense wear and tear. sent the headphones and within 2 days of them receiving them we got a tracking number at no cost for a brand new pair on their way to me. this means A LOT. they take great care and responsibility for their products and that's well worth the price of admission to me. the fact that I earn my income with the LCD-X's is one thing, but the fact that I can count on continued top shelf support for them is beyond commendable. I will ad one final note, the LCD-X and LCD-1 headphones are designed as "reference grade" this means they're almost annoyingly revealing of a tracks issues, I feel some people miss this when looking at them and it's why so many professionals rely on them to this day. reference is never flattering, it's critical and to the most part unpleasant when fed something with issues, but when you play something made to the highest level of work it's almost awe inspiring how much they can allow you to dissect. they're not wide, to stimulate you to mix width more, they're not flattering to stimulate you to fix issues, but they are some of the best reference headphones and definitely the LEAST tiring for long hours.

LCD-X is a bit better than VERUM 1, I must say. I have both. Verum Bass resolution: nice, a bit overemphasized compared to the LCD-X. Middle resolution: Good and sufficient. The LCD-X offers a slightly more precise and nuanced image. Resolution treble: A bit intrusive and harsh, but still okay. The LCD-X is finer here. Resolution transients/attack: Great, but the LCD-X has a little more resolution and acts more gracefully. Both HPs are great, don't missunderstand. I prefer LCD-X for my taste and audio tasks.

Hello, I just want to use one earphone and don't want to be tired of switching devices all the time depending on the type of music. I listen to 80% classical and 20% jazz and pop. I I think I like mm500 very much, and I think the instrument part is quite good, and the vocals are in the front, so the female voice sounds good. Do you recommend other headphones at this level? I think the Sound Stage of the mm500 is ok. For classical music, the instrument is not too modified and artificial, the low-frequency dive is enough for jazz. I'm still looking for a sound I like, maybe you can give me some advice or other information. 看得懂中文嗎?

i have the zsn pro x. the cra while being a v shaped iem as well, is less aggressive in the treble region in comparison to the zsn pro x. so they are not the exact same. i would say the cra is a refined zsn pro x which prolly sounds better to a lot of people including crin i guess. plus frequency response doesnt take into account other things like imaging, separation, details etc. maybe to crin the cra does them better than the zsn pro x. his rankings are subjectively after all.
