What people don’t hear is that Kamala is telling us that we are LUCKY enough. You need to pay attention, she’s telling us that because we have the right to have dreams and aspirations that’s ALREADY a blessing. This is why she mentions her mother all the time, what she means to say is that we might not all DESERVE to own a home - at least in this time because her mother couldn’t buy a home until she was a teenager so you wanting a home RIGHT NOW is not sensible. She also talks about the children of the community being the children of the community meaning she feels compelled to have a say in how people raised their kids. This goes back to her past as AG, she prosecuted parents whose kids had missed school and sent to prison one mother whose child had missed 60 days because of her illness. Kamala is telling us that tough times are coming ahead, the American dream is dead and that in order to bring it back to life, we need new blood (migrants) to replace current Americans and what can be, unburdened by what has been can rise again.
