I have been using the Lowepro pro tactics BP 450 AW II for a few years and with the results I got out of it, I decided to get the Lowepro RLX 450 AW II Green Line series and give it a try and I was not disappointed!
I go over all the features, the pros and few cons and compare it with a traditional Lowerpro backpack so you have an idea as to what the differences, strengths and downsides are and could be for your workflow.

About the GROUND, I've got an older 450 AW regular pack that I use in the redwoods. I lay it on the ground / trail often and the part that would rest on my back has not become very dirty - after 6 years. I'm adding a rolling bag but may get the Neewer 2-in-1 for in-town because the inside is a lot deeper due to less excess of pockets and a thinner lid. It means more lenses can stand on end. My older 450 AW is so good after 6 to 8 years, I bought a spare "open box" one found on Ebay for just $65 and have it stored for maybe 10 years from now when the other wears. It's like having $400 in the bank by the time 2035 rolls around. Thanks for the review. Cheers, MDV

Good Video Cris, got the older version 350 AW now 15 Years old. Totally agree, Leica SL90-280, 24-90 & 50F1.4 is a fair weight. Keep Well & Stay Safe 👍🇬🇧

Such a good review man. I subbed and now commenting, and I rarely do. I’ve bought every version of the 450 because I love it so much. You’ve raised some points and issues that the trekker really can solve. For one I hate wearing my suits with a backpack. Great video. THANK YOU!

This is my work horse. Absolutely love it and saves my back. But I rarely use the straps as it's just too heavy when I load it up.

I totally agree with you! And I think the same about the straps, in fact I recently swapped to rolling case only with no rucksack feature. Take care

@WildHorseProductions I recently reviewed a ThinkTank Production manager 30 but it’s very large. I know thinktank have smaller ones tho - worth checking that out 😉

@@cris_photography Yeah thanks! Thinktank definitely another brand I've been eyeing. Need something that can carry on as I fly with the 450AW too alongside the 400W

Seems like a great backpack. I currently have the LowePro Freeline BP 350 AW which is also great, but while hiking in Java + Bali I still carried my drone bag, money/passport bag and the main backpack with lenses which was a pain. Now I'm looking for something that can carry my camera + 3 lenses, small drone + controller and also my passport+money. 1 backpack to rule them all... I think this will be it. Very expensive though.

Oh y’a i see! My experience after many more months of usage is that I only use it as a bag on wheels - not a backpack. So if I had to chose now for my needs I’d take something only on wheels that would be cheaper and more confortable (or a backpack only if that’s what I need) and skip the hybrid altogether. Do you need both personally? Am curious Cheers
@jeroenvdw
@jeroenvdw 3 ай бұрын
@@cris_photography If it's not that comfortable to carry as a backpack I guess I'll take a look at a dedicated backpack instead, because that's more useful to me than a bag on wheels. I was thinking of using this together with a large backpack for my clothes etc on holidays. When on the airport I could roll this bag and carry the large backpack on my back. When hiking I can use this LowePro as a backpack instead. But another option is to just use a large suitcase on the airport and a dedicated big camera backpack for hiking. But the thing is large suitcases are often not recommended by travel agencies.

@jeroenvdw ya it’s always a bit of a struggle for me too. You must sacrifice (no choice here) confort for convenience. Honestly a dedicated backpack is much better BUT no wheels… so I now have a dedicated think tank production manager 30 v2 on wheels only (huge but that’s the size I personally need). Hope you’ll find the right fit for your needs 😉 take care

13:52 does the rain pouch work ok with the handle? Can you pull the backpack on its wheels with the rain pouch fitted or can you only use the rain pouch when wearing the pack on your shoulders like a rucksack?
@cris_photography

They Daniel, sorry for the late reply - I was on a trip to Hungary and I did not have the bag with me to try that. I just did and you can wear the water protection both on wheels and as a rucksack on your back :) Take care!
