The Generations version feels like the whole city has fallen into chaos and despair and it's too late to save it. This one feels like the city has been absolutely destroyed with nothing that breathes and respires being left alive, but it isn't too late to turn back time and prevent the crisis that is supposed to happen from happening.

Ohtani made Forces which was disappointing at best. I hope he recovers from that in Frontiers. But I feel the series misses people like Fumie Kumitami, she was responsable for a lot of the best tracks in the franchise.

@@Dycbf Unleashed has a pretty good soundtrack, but it doesn’t sound as “Sonic” to me. Some of it does, but not as much. I still love a lot of tracks from there though. I loved Colors’ soundtrack but I just LOVED the epicness, edge, coolness and catchiness that Sonic 06’s soundtrack had and part of what made it so great was Mariko Nanba, on her own, and collaborating with Tomoya and that’s something that was special that has been lost ever since. I do love Fumie Kumatani too though.

Did the exact same thing with Shadow the Hedgehog, although that game wasn't broken enough for the brokenness to be fun. We really just had fun with the cutscenes and the character models.

From 5:35 onwards, you hear that constant almost 007-esque background, as it goes up the first two notes, you're like, "if it goes up one more semi-tone, that's the James Bond theme." But it doesn't, unfortunately. Still, I can see why you think that. You could probably play the opening scene from Skyfall, where 007 chases that guy on top of the train, with this music in the background, and it'd fit in pretty well, no? :D

LOVE this theme! The WHOLE piece, all four sections of the level are great! Despite the bugginess, I think the reason it made it into Generations (the vote for people's favorite Sonic levels) was because this was somehow the least buggy/trashy level. Though the skateboard section sucked hard, the mach speed section was somehow the best of the four - though that isn't much of a compliment when you think of how crappy Kingdom Valley, Radical Train, and Wave Ocean are.
